Step 1: Airtable and Intercom My App Integration

1. How to Register Airtable
First, prepare the Airtable Grid you will use.

After clicking "My Apps," search for Airtable from "New Connection."

Click "Add Base" and select the workspace you want to integrate.

Click "Allow Access" to complete the Airtable My App registration.

2. How to Register Intercom
Similarly, click "New Connection" and search for Intercom this time.

To integrate Intercom with My Apps, you need to obtain an access token.

After logging into the Intercom admin panel, select "Developers" under "Settings" and proceed to the "Developer Hub."

When the "New app" screen appears, select "Internal integration" and click "Create app."

Once the app is created, you can obtain the access token (API key).
Paste this key into the Yoom Intercom new registration screen to set up My App integration.

Step 2: Setting Up a Trigger to Launch from the Record Detail Page in Airtable

First, we will set up "Launch from Record Detail Page".


Please install the Chrome extension from the red line above.
For detailed setup instructions, please refer to How to Set Up a Trigger Using Chrome Extension.

This item is already set, so no changes are needed.
Once the Chrome extension is installed, click "Next".

Enter the Base ID and Table ID by referring to the notes at the bottom of the box.

Next, set up the sample URL for the launch page.
Click the red frame part of the Airtable Grid created during the preparation.

A detail page like the image above will open, click the icon in the upper right corner, copy the URL, and paste it into the sample URL for the launch page in Yoom.

Run the test, and if the test is successful, the output will be displayed.
Click "+ Add Value to Retrieve" in the output.

Set the values you want to add as desired.
This time, click the "+" mark to add the person in charge's name, address, phone number, and user ID.

Once the setup is complete, click "Add".

If the items you added earlier are displayed in the output, click "Save".

Step 3: Create a Contact in Intercom

Next, we will set up the item "Create a Contact".

The above screen is already set.
If there are no errors, proceed to the next page as is.

Set the contact type as desired from the dropdown.

Set the user ID as shown in the screen above.
Explanation: By setting it this way, you can retrieve the "User ID" registered in Airtable and automatically register the user ID in Intercom as well.

Set the email address, phone number, and name in the same way.

Once the setup is complete, click the "Test" button.
If "Test Successful" is displayed and the contact is registered in Intercom, the setup is complete.
Click "Save".

Step 4: Turn On the Trigger


When the above screen is displayed, turn on the trigger.
