How to integrate Asana with LINE WORKS to notify overdue tasks from Asana to LINE WORKS

t.aizawa

In the business field, we believe that streamlining task management is the key to project success. However, have you ever overlooked tasks that have passed their deadlines? Especially in busy teams, there might be limitations in understanding the situation solely within management tools. This is where the integration of "Asana" and "LINE WORKS" comes in handy. By notifying LINE WORKS of overdue tasks managed in Asana, you can automatically notify the progress of tasks at specified times, which is expected to improve response speed. In this article, we will introduce the specific benefits and integration methods of this collaboration. Recommended for: - Project managers who want to streamline task management - Teams handling multiple projects simultaneously - Teams feeling challenges in information sharing and follow-up Benefits and Examples of Integrating Asana and LINE WORKS Benefit 1: Visualizing Overdue Tasks Asana is very convenient as a task management tool, but have you ever overlooked tasks that have exceeded their deadlines? Especially when multiple projects are progressing in parallel, it is not uncommon to spend time just understanding the progress. By notifying overdue tasks using LINE WORKS, it becomes easier to understand which tasks are incomplete and who should handle them. For example, by automatically sharing in a LINE WORKS group chat that "Mr. ○○'s 'submission of estimate' task is overdue," everyone can recognize the situation. An environment is created where necessary actions can be taken immediately without the task manager having to perform confirmation work. In this way, integrating Asana and LINE WORKS is expected to improve the visualization of task status. Benefit 2: Streamlining Follow-up When overdue tasks occur, if appropriate follow-up is not conducted, tasks may be further delayed, affecting the entire project. However, individually checking task progress and contacting people takes time. By integrating Asana and LINE WORKS for automatic notifications, overdue tasks are automatically shared with the entire team or related members, allowing necessary follow-up to be conducted immediately. For example, after the task owner receives a notification and replies, "I will complete it by today," the supervisor and the entire team can understand the response status and discuss the task content directly within LINE WORKS, eliminating the need for separate meetings and streamlining follow-up. Benefit 3: Improving Flexibility in Notification Methods Using LINE WORKS allows for flexibility in how notifications are sent. With Asana alone, task status mainly needs to be checked within the platform, but with integration with LINE WORKS, you can choose whether to send notifications to individual members or share them with everyone. For example, in a large-scale project, by setting notifications so that only relevant parties receive them instead of sending them to everyone, it is possible to deliver necessary information without causing unnecessary confusion. Additionally, for specific important tasks, creating a dedicated channel for notifications can prevent information from being buried.
