Every time you create a Thing in Bubble, manually creating a folder in Dropbox becomes increasingly challenging as the number of Things grows. Additionally, manual folder creation carries the risk of human error. However, by integrating the two tools, you can automate folder creation, thereby improving project management efficiency. This article introduces a method to automatically create a folder in Dropbox every time you create a Thing in Bubble. It's easy to implement without programming, so try to improve your business efficiency.
If a folder is automatically created in Dropbox every time a Thing is created in Bubble, it can potentially promote business efficiency. For example, if you manually create folders for each project or customer, it wastes time and effort, but this automation eliminates that hassle. This automation allows staff to allocate more time to more important tasks. Especially for companies dealing with a large number of folders, this will reduce the workload and improve efficiency.
By integrating Bubble and Dropbox folder creation, members can smoothly access folders. For example, when creating a project and manually creating a folder, there may be a time lag until the person in charge creates the folder. However, if a project folder is automatically created in Dropbox, stakeholders and members can smoothly access the folder. This will make the exchange and verification of files necessary for the project smoother. In this way, the automation of Bubble and Dropbox is also expected to enhance team collaboration.
This integration is also effective for standardizing business processes and reducing errors. For example, manual folder creation can lead to name input errors or incorrect folder creation locations, causing time-consuming data organization and search issues. However, with the integration of Bubble and Dropbox, if folder names and structures are consistently auto-generated, data integrity is maintained, eliminating the risk of errors. This standardizes data management across the organization, eliminating the hassle of searching for files and improving the accuracy and efficiency of operations.
[About Yoom]
Next, we will introduce how to create a flowbot in Yoom, which allows app integration without programming, to "create a folder in Dropbox when a Thing is created in Bubble." You can implement it just by setting it according to the template, so please give it a try.
2. Click "Try this template" to complete the copy.
Next, set the trigger action that starts the flow.
In this flow, the creation of a Thing will be the trigger.
1. Select "My Projects" in the Yoom management screen and click "Create a folder in Dropbox when a Thing is created in Bubble [Copy]".
* You can change the template title on the next screen.
2. Click "App Trigger When Thing is Created".
3. Check the account information linked with Bubble and click "Next".
* Other items are set by default.
4. Set the "Trigger Interval" and "Data Type Name", and test.
* Trigger intervals of 5, 10, 15, 30, and 60 minutes are available, and the selectable time varies by plan.
* For each selected interval, check the trigger action in the app, and when the action is executed, the flow bot will start. If you want to create a folder immediately, a shorter interval setting is recommended.
5. If the test is successful, the information obtained from Bubble will be displayed in the output.
Items not displayed in the test results can be obtained using JSON PATH.
Once you have obtained all the necessary items for folder creation (such as items to be used as folder names), save them.
* For how to obtain items using JSONPath, please refer to this help page.
Finally, set to create a folder in Dropbox.
1. Click "Create Folder to Integrate with App".
2. Check the account information linked with Dropbox and click "Next".
* Other items are set by default.
3. Set the "Folder Path" and test.
* The folder path can be entered directly or selected from the output. In the image below, "/" is entered directly, and "{{Industry}}" and "{{Company Name}}" are selected from the "When Thing is Created" output by clicking the frame. By using the output values, you can dynamically reflect the content that changes for each Thing in the folder path.
* In the image below, "Industry" and "Company Name" are not displayed in the output, but if you obtain "Industry" and "Company Name" using JSONPath in Step 3, you can set it as shown in the "Folder Path" in the image.
4. If the test is successful, save and turn the trigger ON.
From now on, every time a Thing is created in Bubble, a folder will be automatically created in Dropbox.
If you have any questions about the flow introduced, please refer to this help page.
There are many other examples of automation using Bubble in Yoom, so here are a few.
When a Thing is created in Bubble, it is automatically notified to Chatwork.
This integration can reduce the time and effort of manually notifying members and stakeholders of the creation of a Thing, facilitating smoother information sharing.
If you are using Google Sheets for data management, integration allows for centralized management.
This not only improves operational efficiency but also enhances data consistency between tools.
When using Google Forms to collect project or customer information, you can automatically register the data into Bubble through integration.
This integration not only reduces the effort and time required for registration but also helps minimize human errors during data entry.
The integration of Bubble and Dropbox allows for the reduction of time spent manually creating folders and minimizes human error.
Additionally, it resolves the time lag in folder creation, which can strengthen team collaboration.
Furthermore, standardizing folder management will likely improve the accuracy and efficiency of operations.
The integration of Bubble and Dropbox can be implemented without code by using Yoom, so take this opportunity to give it a try.
