How to Automatically Notify LINE WORKS When a Chat is Initiated in Chat Plus


This can be achieved by using the API provided by LINE WORKS to send chat initiation notifications from Chat Plus to a designated talk room in LINE WORKS.
Generally, programming knowledge is required to achieve this, but it can be easily accomplished without programming knowledge by using the no-code tool Yoom.

We will create this in the following major processes.

  • Integrate Chat Plus and LINE WORKS as a My App
  • Copy the template
  • Set a trigger in Chat Plus and an action in LINE WORKS
  • Set the trigger to ON and complete the preparation for flow operation

If you are registered with Yoom, please log in, and if you are not registered, please proceed with the setup after registering for free.

Step 1: Connect Chat Plus and LINE WORKS to My Apps

Connect Chat Plus and LINE WORKS to My Apps.
After logging into Yoom, click "My Apps" on the left side of the screen and search for Chat Plus from "+ New Connection".

Set the account name and access token.
Enter any name for "Account Name". (Example: Management Account)
For "Access Token", enter the API token issued on this page.

To issue an API token, first access here and log in with your account.
On the API token issuance screen, set the "Password" and click "Issue API Token". The API token will then be displayed in red text.
After entering the account name and access token, click "Add" to complete the connection.

Next, search for LINE WORKS.

After entering the Client ID, Client Secret, and Scope, click "Add" to complete the My Apps connection.

Next, copy the Flowbot template.
After logging into Yoom, click "Try it" on the banner.

When "Template has been copied!" is displayed, click "OK" to complete the copy.

Step 2: Set the Trigger

Set the trigger for Chat Plus.
Click "When chat is started".

Next, check the "Account information to integrate with Chat Plus".
The title can be freely edited, but keep the trigger action as it is and click "Next".

Then, set up the Webhook.
Copy the Webhook URL displayed on the screen and set it in Chat Plus.

After setting up the Webhook, start a new chat for testing and click "Test".

Confirm that the chat information is displayed in the output and click "Save".

Step 3: Set the Action

Next, set the action for LINE WORKS.
Click "Send message to talk room".

Edit the title as desired and check the account information, then click "Next".

Set up the API connection.
For "Bot ID", select from the candidates or refer to the annotation and enter the Bot ID obtained when creating a bot in the Developer Console or when adding a bot from the admin screen.
For "Talk Room ID", refer to the annotation and enter the channel ID of the talk room where the bot is added.
The "Message" can be edited as desired. In this case, a message including the site name and person in charge was set.
After setting, click "Test" to confirm whether the message is sent to the specified talk room.
Once confirmed, click "Save".

Click "Turn on Trigger" to complete the flow operation preparation.
Now, when an inquiry is started in Chat Plus, a notification will automatically be sent to LINE WORKS.
