This can be achieved by receiving records registered in the Google Chat database using Google Chat's API and notifying Miro of the record data added in Google Chat using Miro's API.
Generally, programming knowledge is required to achieve this, but it can be easily accomplished without programming knowledge by using the no-code tool Yoom.

We will proceed with four major processes.

  • Register Google Chat and Miro as My Apps
  • Copy the template
  • Set the Google Chat trigger that serves as the starting point of the flow, followed by the Miro operation settings
  • Turn on the trigger button and verify the integration operation between Google Chat and Miro

Step 1: Connect Google Chat and Miro to My Apps

Let's register Google Chat and Miro to My Apps.
By registering My Apps first, future settings will be smoother.

Open Yoom and click "My Apps" on the left side of the screen.
Then click "New Connection" on the right side of the screen.

Enter Google Chat in the search box and click on the displayed Google Chat suggestion.

The sign-in screen will be displayed. Follow the flow to sign in.

Once Google Chat is displayed on the My Apps screen, the registration is complete.
Next, register Miro to My Apps.
Click "New Connection".

Enter Miro in the search box and click on the displayed suggestion.

The Miro login screen will be displayed.
Check the contents and click "Add".

Miro will be displayed in My Apps.
This completes the registration of Google Chat and Miro to My Apps for this use.

Step 2: Copy the Template

To set up automation, click "Try it" on the banner below.

Read the following screen display and click "OK".

Step 3: Set the Google Chat trigger that initiates the flow and the subsequent Miro operation settings

Operate the flow bot.
When a screen like the image below is displayed, click "When a message is sent to the space".
On the screen to select the linked account and action, click "Next".

The API connection settings for the app trigger will be displayed.
・Trigger activation time: You can choose from 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or 60 minutes.

・Space resource name: It can be obtained from the URL of the target space or direct message.
In the case of the URL "https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#chat/space/AAAAgSu7BjA", "space/AAAAgSu7BjA" is the resource name. Example) Enter space/AAAAgSu7BjA and conduct a test. Once the test is confirmed successful, click "Save".

Next, configure Miro.
Click "Create a sticky note on the board", and on the screen to select the linked account and action, click "Next".

This is the setting for the sticky note that will be added when a message is sent to Google Chat.
Enter the board ID.
Default values are listed below each item, so refer to them as you proceed with the input.

Once you have entered the information, click Test, and after confirming the test is successful, click "Save".

Step 4: Set the Action

Finally, click "Turn on Trigger" to complete the automation settings.
Check to ensure the flow bot is operating correctly.
