How to integrate Google Sheets with B-Cart to register products in B-Cart when a row is added in Google Sheets

n.fukuoka

Google Sheets is a convenient tool that facilitates collaboration and is accessible from anywhere. It allows for sharing and editing data online, making it useful for team projects.
However, the task of transferring product information to B-Cart while checking data in Google Sheets can be cumbersome and may lead to decreased work efficiency.
This article explains the benefits and setup methods of integrating Google Sheets with B-Cart.

Recommended for These Readers

The content introduced this time is recommended for the following people!

  • Those considering automating repetitive tasks to reduce the burden on staff
  • Those aiming to improve efficiency and reduce errors in product registration for e-commerce site operations
  • Those using Google Sheets and B-Cart and struggling with the hassle of data transfer

Benefits and Examples of Integrating Google Sheets and B-Cart

Benefit 1: Reduction of Human Errors

Manual data transfer is prone to errors.
For example, when a product manager registers product information from Google Sheets to B-Cart, errors can occur during manual entry of product names, prices, and stock numbers, or during copy and paste.
This risk increases especially when new products are frequently added or prices are frequently revised.
By utilizing app integration, information is automatically registered in B-Cart when a row is added to Google Sheets, eliminating the need for manual entry and reducing the likelihood of input or transfer errors.
This allows the time and effort spent on correcting data entry errors and associated verification tasks to be allocated to other tasks, such as improving customer service quality or planning new sales strategies, potentially leading to overall improvement in work efficiency.

Benefit 2: Reduction of Staff Burden

Manual data entry and update tasks can be a significant burden on staff.
Repetitive routine tasks, in particular, can consume time and effort, potentially leading to decreased concentration and motivation.
By introducing automation, staff can be freed from tedious tasks, allowing the product planning team to focus on creative tasks such as market analysis and new product idea generation.
Additionally, the marketing team can allocate resources to designing promotional campaigns and measuring their effectiveness, enabling more strategic initiatives.
As a result, productivity across the organization is expected to improve, potentially positively impacting project progress and the accuracy of deliverables.

Benefit 3: Speedier Information Updates

Manual updates of product information inevitably result in time lags, potentially missing business opportunities.
For example, if the product planning team adds new product information to Google Sheets but the update to the e-commerce site is delayed, there is a risk of losing sales opportunities because the new product is not displayed on the site despite its availability.
By integrating Google Sheets with B-Cart, changes in information on Google Sheets are automatically reflected in B-Cart, enabling prompt information provision.
As a result, it becomes possible to provide customers with timely information, preventing sales errors and improving work efficiency.
Furthermore, it may help strengthen trust with customers and guide the overall operation of the company in a better direction.

In this article, we will proceed with integration using Yoom.
If you haven't used it yet, please take a look at Getting Started with Yoom.

How to Create a Google Sheets and B-Cart Integration Flow

It is possible to achieve this by receiving the addition of a row in Google Sheets using the Google Sheets API and registering products in B-Cart using the API provided by B-Cart.
Generally, programming knowledge is required to achieve this, but with the no-code tool Yoom, it can be easily accomplished without programming knowledge.

The integration flow is broadly created through the following processes.

  • Register Google Sheets and B-Cart as My Apps
  • Set up a trigger to activate when a row is added in Google Sheets
  • Configure settings to register products in B-Cart
  • Testing and verification

Step 1: Integration of Google Sheets and B-Cart with My Apps

First, log in to your Yoom account.
If you do not have an account, please create one on the Yoom account creation page.

1. Click on My Apps, then click on New Connection.

2. You can search by app name in the input field.
This time, search for and register Google Sheets and B-Cart respectively.

Register Google Sheets as My App
