Recommended for

  • Those who find collecting and managing distribution data cumbersome
  • Marketing personnel who want to improve the accuracy of analysis
  • Managers who want to reduce manual data entry tasks
  • Executives who want to make strategic decisions based on data
  • Those using LINE Official Accounts and Microsoft Excel and want to streamline management tasks by integrating them

Benefits and Examples of Integrating LINE Official Accounts with Microsoft Excel

1. Centralized Data Management

By automatically aggregating distribution data from LINE Official Accounts into Microsoft Excel, you can centrally manage the necessary information on Microsoft Excel. For example, by registering complex collected data in a predetermined format, you can devise effective distribution strategies for specific time slots or days of the week. Additionally, aggregating data into Microsoft Excel makes it easier to share information with other team members. Each team member can formulate highly accurate strategies, aiming to improve the overall performance of the company.

2. Reduction of Manual Work

By implementing this flow, you can automate the task of manually entering daily distribution numbers from LINE Official Accounts into Microsoft Excel. For example, the task of copying data from the LINE Official Account management screen and pasting it into Microsoft Excel, which was previously done by a person every morning, will no longer be necessary. The time spent on data entry can be allocated to other important tasks, which is expected to improve productivity within the department.

3. Prevention of Oversights

By automatically registering daily distribution numbers from LINE Official Accounts into Microsoft Excel, you can suppress oversights during data collection. For example, in the conventional process, if work was busy, there was a possibility of missing data that should have been collected, leading to incorrect results during information analysis. By incorporating this flow, you can obtain the latest distribution numbers at a specified time and automatically add the information to Microsoft Excel, allowing you to perform analysis work based on accurate data.

Now, let's create a flow bot using the template "Obtain the latest distribution numbers from LINE Official Accounts daily and add them to Microsoft Excel".

[About Yoom]

How to Obtain the Latest Distribution Numbers from LINE Official Accounts Daily and Add Them to Microsoft Excel

By utilizing Yoom's schedule trigger, it is possible to receive the latest distribution numbers obtained from LINE Official Accounts using the LINE Official Account API and add the obtained distribution numbers to Microsoft Excel records using the API provided by Microsoft Excel. Generally, programming knowledge is required to achieve this, but with the no-code tool Yoom, it can be easily achieved without programming knowledge.

The work until the completion of the flow will proceed as follows:

  • Integration of LINE Official Accounts and Microsoft Excel My Apps
  • Copy the template
  • Set triggers for LINE Official Accounts and configure Microsoft Excel
  • Turn on the trigger

If you are not using Yoom, please register for free from here. If you are already using Yoom, please log in.

・Connect LINE Official Account and Microsoft Excel to My Apps

(1) First, connect your LINE Official Account to My Apps.
After logging into your Yoom account, click on "My Apps" in the left column and search for the LINE Official Account from "New Connection".

(2) The app icon for the LINE Official Account will appear, so click on it.

(3) Enter the "Account Name" and "Access Token" of the LINE Official Account you want to connect, and click [Add].
For more information on how to add a LINE Official Account to My Apps, please refer to this article.

(4) Next, connect the Microsoft Excel app.
Select Microsoft Excel in the same way as registering the LINE Official Account to My Apps.

(5) After clicking the Microsoft Excel app icon, you will be taken to the sign-in screen, but no further action is required, and the connection will be completed instantly.
・Microsoft365 (formerly Office365) has a home plan and a general business plan (Microsoft365 Business), and if you are not subscribed to the general business plan, authentication may fail.

Once authentication is successful, you will be redirected to the My Apps screen of your Yoom account.
Now, both apps are connected to your Yoom account.

・Copy the Template

After confirming that the new connection of the target app to your Yoom account is complete, click on the icon for "Try this template" in the template below.

The template will be copied, so click the "OK" button.

Please move to the "My Projects" screen of your Yoom account and check the template content.

There are three setup flows.

This time, we have prepared a Microsoft Excel sheet as shown below in advance.
We will create a flow bot with the assumption that we will eventually add [Broadcast Message] to item 1 and [Targeting Message] to item 2.

・Check Trigger Content

(1) First, check the content of the schedule trigger.

Click "【Copy】Retrieve the latest distribution count from the official LINE account daily and add it to Microsoft Excel" from My Projects on the left side of the Yoom account screen.

After clicking, the template content will be displayed as shown in the screen below.

(2) Click on the trigger "When the specified schedule is reached".

(3) In this example, we have set it to operate at 9:00 every weekday.
You can customize the settings by checking or unchecking boxes, changing the time, etc., so please set it according to your operation.
For details on how to set up a schedule trigger, please check this page.

(4) After confirming or optionally changing the settings, click [Save].

・Setting up the Official LINE Account

(1) Next, click on the second action "Retrieve Distribution Count".

(2) Enter the account information to be linked and click [Next].

(3) In the item for setting date and time information such as "Date", you can quote and set information from [Date] by clicking the input bar as shown in the screen below.
If you want to set 'Today', click the arrow for 'Today' under [Date] → select the desired one from the expanded information.
In this flow, it needs to be written in the format "20220131", so we have selected '%Y%m%d'.

(4) After entering the information, click [Test], and if there are no issues, click [Save].
In this step, you can obtain the following information as output.
The output information can be quoted and utilized in subsequent steps, as noted in the annotation "This value can be used in other operations."

・Setting up Microsoft Excel

(1) Finally, click on the third action "Add Record".

(2) After entering the information for the Microsoft Excel account to be linked, scroll down and fill in the "Database Integration" section.
You can quote information from the linked account as shown in the image below.
(As an example, we are quoting the drive ID information from the file storage location.)

(3) Information such as "Item ID" can also be quoted.
After entering, click [Next].

(4) On the next screen, set to add a new record to the specified table in Microsoft Excel.
Enter the items in the "Values of the record to be added" section.
As an example, the image below quotes the outputs "Broadcast Message" and "Targeting Message" obtained in the previous step.

(5) After entering the necessary information, click [Test], and if there are no issues, click [Save].
This completes the setup.

・Turn ON the Trigger

By clicking the red-framed part "Turn ON the Trigger" on the screen below, the flow bot will start automatically.
