t.aizawa

Are you struggling with customer support and marketing efficiency while selling products on Shopify?
By implementing a system that automatically sends coupon information via Gmail when a specific product is ordered, you can reduce effort and improve customer satisfaction.
This system allows for easy follow-up right after purchase and targeted promotions, offering significant benefits for businesses aiming for efficient operations.
This article will explain in detail the specific benefits and integration methods of this setup.

Recommended for

  • E-commerce site operators who sell products using Shopify and want to improve efficiency through automation
  • Companies that want to send follow-up emails via Gmail immediately after an order and respond quickly
  • Those who want to automate routine tasks and prevent human errors

Benefits and Examples of Integrating Shopify and Gmail

Benefit 1: Marketing Activity Efficiency

By integrating Shopify and Gmail, you can efficiently implement targeted marketing strategies for customers who purchase specific products.
For example, as a promotion for new products, you can send discount coupons to customers who purchased related products. This system is expected to reduce the workload of the marketing team and allow them to focus time and resources on more strategic activities. Additionally, the automation of the sending process makes it easier to create customer lists and manage distribution schedules. As a result, you can increase the frequency of campaigns and efficiently provide value to customers.

Benefit 2: Improved Data Utilization and Analysis

By integrating Shopify and Gmail, you can easily collect and analyze data such as coupon distribution history, email open rates, and click rates.
For example, it becomes easier to analyze which coupon was most used when a particular product was purchased, or the time of day emails were opened. This allows you to optimize the content and timing of the next coupon distribution, enhancing the accuracy of your marketing.
This data-driven approach enables the repeated implementation of effective measures, leading to long-term improvements.

Benefit 3: Reduction of Human Errors

Manually sending emails in response to orders carries the risk of human errors.
Errors can include incorrect coupon codes, sending to non-target customers, and delays in sending. By automating with Shopify and Gmail integration, you can expect to reduce these risks.
For example, the system automatically checks purchase data and sends accurate coupon content to the target customers, preventing errors that may occur in manual processes. Additionally, once set up, you can handle any number of orders accurately, which is also an attractive feature.
You can avoid troubles that could compromise customer satisfaction and smoothly proceed with business operations.

Other Examples of Automation Using Shopify

At Yoom, we have other examples of automation using Shopify, so let me introduce a few.

1. Notify Microsoft Teams When an Order is Placed on Shopify

When an order is placed on Shopify, the order information is automatically notified to Microsoft Teams. This facilitates smooth information sharing with the team and allows you to immediately understand the order, enabling you to start preparing for shipment right away.

2. Once product information is created in Shopify, create a folder in Google Drive

By utilizing this flow, a folder is automatically created in Google Drive for each product, allowing centralized management of related files. This makes it easier to quickly find the necessary information without it being scattered.

3. Register product information in Shopify using Google Form data

By integrating with Google Forms, the information entered in Google Forms can be reflected in Shopify. By consolidating product information in Shopify, it becomes easier to manage inventory and understand sales status, and it is expected to reduce the effort and errors associated with data entry.
