Benefits and Examples of Integrating TimeRex and SendGrid

Benefit 1: Speeding up Customer Service and Improving Customer Satisfaction

When a new user registers a schedule with TimeRex, information can be quickly registered with SendGrid, and a system can be built to immediately send welcome emails or confirmation emails. With this flow, users can receive necessary information or benefits right after registration, enabling smooth customer service.
For example, if this integration is used for meeting scheduling, information can be automatically added to SendGrid, allowing for quick sending of materials or information. Quick responses enhance customer trust and improve the service experience, which is expected to increase customer satisfaction.

Benefit 2: Centralization of Data and Efficient Information Management

By integrating TimeRex and SendGrid, customer information can be centralized between both systems. This allows for easy searching and analysis without data duplication. Additionally, you may be able to comprehensively understand customer behavior history and achieve more advanced customer relationship management.
For example, the marketing department can use SendGrid's data to conduct email campaigns, and the customer support department can respond quickly based on TimeRex's data. Efficient information management can be achieved, and maintaining data consistency is expected to strengthen team collaboration.

Benefit 3: Streamlining Operations

Automating the task of manually entering data into multiple tools can save a significant amount of time.
For example, during regular campaigns, there will be no need to manually enter large amounts of user information into SendGrid, which is expected to reduce errors due to human mistakes. Furthermore, automation can create an environment where staff can focus on more strategic tasks. Stable operations can be achieved, and operational efficiency is expected to improve.

Now, let's explain how to use the no-code tool Yoom to add user information registered with TimeRex as contacts in SendGrid.

[What is Yoom]

How to Manage Content Added to TimeRex in SendGrid

It is possible to receive data registered with TimeRex using TimeRex's API and add contacts to SendGrid's contact list based on TimeRex's responses using SendGrid's provided API.
Generally, programming knowledge is required to achieve this, but with the no-code tool Yoom, it can be easily achieved without programming knowledge.

The integration flow is broadly created through the following processes.

  • Register TimeRex and SendGrid as My Apps
  • Copy the template
  • Set the trigger in TimeRex, which serves as the starting point of the flow, and then set the subsequent operations in SendGrid
  • Turn on the trigger button and verify the integration operation between TimeRex and SendGrid

For those who have not used Yoom, please register for free from here.
If you are already using Yoom, please log in.

Step 1: Connect TimeRex and SendGrid with MyApp

First, register the apps you will use with MyApp.
By registering in advance, you can set up the flow smoothly.

Let's start with the registration of TimeRex.
Access MyMenu on the left side of the Yoom screen and click the new connection button on the right side of the screen.

When the following screen is displayed, let's make the settings below.

"Title" → Can be changed if necessary
"Account information linked with TimeRex" → Check if the account is correct
"Trigger Action" → When a Webhook is received

Once the settings are complete, click "Next".

Step 3: Set up the SendGrid "Add Contact to Contact List" Action

The TimeRex Webhook triggers the flow for both "Add Event" and "Delete Event".
Therefore, add a "Branch" command operation so that the flow proceeds only for "Add Event".
※ The branching feature (operation) is available in the Mini Plan and above. Paid plans like the Mini Plan offer a 2-week free trial.

Since we are using a template this time, no setup is required, so let's check the content!
When you click "Branch", it will be displayed as follows.
The branching condition is, <span class="mark-yellow">Webhook Type = event_confirmed</span>.
Once confirmed, click "Save".

Let's set the details.
The "Email Address" and "Name" to be registered use the output obtained from the trigger action.
By using the output, you can register with the appropriate values each time the flow is triggered!
※ For more details about the output, please see here.
Also, in TimeRex, the "Name" output combines the last name and first name, but the SendGrid registration fields separate them.
This time, we are setting it by adding the "Name" output to the "Last Name" field.

When you click the input field, candidates will appear below, so click each one to input.

Other Automation Examples Using SendGrid

There are many other examples of automation using SendGrid in Yoom, so let me introduce a few.

1. Add a buyer to the SendGrid contact list when an order is placed on Shopify

The first example is the integration flow with Shopify. By quickly registering buyer information in SendGrid, you can immediately start email marketing initiatives.

2. Register customer information in SendGrid when a new conversation is created in Intercom

Next, we introduce integration with Intercom. For companies or departments with a high volume of inquiries, automating customer registration can reduce manual work and allow them to focus on their tasks.

3. Send an email with SendGrid when the status is updated in Google Sheets

The last flow to introduce is sending an email with SendGrid triggered by an update in Google Sheets. This eliminates the need to manually enter the recipient and email content, helping to avoid transcription errors and missed sends.

Summary

By integrating TimeRex with SendGrid, efficient customer information management can be achieved. Utilizing this automation eliminates the need for manual data transfer, potentially speeding up customer response times and enabling efficient centralized data management. This can lead to improved customer satisfaction and increased operational efficiency.
Be sure to incorporate automation with Yoom into your operations and experience the efficiency for yourself!

I experienced jewelry sales as a new graduate, got married and gave birth, and worked at a social insurance labor consultant office for about 6 years. I experienced a variety of office work in both industries, including inventory management and customer management. Especially when I work at a company labor office, I often end the day with a huge amount of input work and paperwork. When I learned about Yoom, my first voice was “Why couldn't we meet sooner...” I try to write easy-to-understand sentences so that I can bring the convenience of Yoom to everyone!
