How to integrate Wix with Backlog to add an entry to Backlog when a form is submitted on Wix

m.i

If you are managing an inquiry form with Wix and handling those inquiries as tasks in Backlog, wouldn't it be convenient if the form information could be automatically transferred?
This wish can be fulfilled by integrating Wix with Backlog.
This article provides a detailed explanation of how to automatically add tasks to Backlog when a form is submitted in Wix.
It is expected to reduce manual work, speed up customer response, and improve the quality of operations.
Please read to the end.

Benefits of Integrating Wix and Backlog

Benefit 1: Reduction of Manual Work

By automatically adding the submission data from Wix forms to Backlog, the manual work of staff is reduced.
This eliminates the need to manually check form information and enter it into Backlog, reducing data entry errors.
The reduction of manual work leads to a shortening of routine tasks, allowing staff to focus on core tasks.
Additionally, being freed from tedious tasks reduces staff fatigue and stress, potentially improving overall performance.
Furthermore, automation stabilizes business processes and is expected to achieve an efficient workflow.

Benefit 2: Speeding Up Customer Response

Since the content submitted through Wix forms is automatically reflected in Backlog, the initial response to customer requests and inquiries becomes faster.
Because it is reflected in real-time, the person in charge can immediately check the necessary information and proceed with the response.
In cases where quick responses are required, reducing wait times can lead to improved customer satisfaction.
Moreover, centralized management of inquiry content reduces omissions in responses, allowing for service delivery that meets customer expectations.

How to Create a Wix and Backlog Integration Flow

So far, we have introduced the benefits of integrating Wix and Backlog.
Let's quickly proceed with the integration using the app Yoom!
Once the registration of My Apps is complete, we will create the "Add to Backlog when a form is submitted in Wix" flow bot.

[What is Yoom]

This time, we will follow the steps below.
Let's set it up together!

  • Integrate Wix and Backlog with My Apps.
  • Copy the template "Add to Backlog when a form is submitted on Wix".
  • Trigger: Set up "When a form is submitted" on Wix.
  • Set up "Add Issue" on Backlog.
  • Turn on the trigger to complete.

Step 1: Integrate My Apps

Integrating My Apps first will make the subsequent settings smoother.
First, let's integrate the Wix and Yoom you are using.
Select My Apps → New Connection from the left side of the Yoom page.

Search for Wix.
Set the displayed items.
Please check the access token (API key) from here.

Next, integrate with Backlog.
Please set the displayed items.
Once Wix and Backlog are displayed in My Apps, the integration is complete.

Step 2: Set Triggers and Actions

This time we will use this template.
Open the template page and click "Try this template".
If you are using Yoom, please log in, or if you are new, please register.
Once completed, the template is automatically copied to your workspace.
The template name can be changed as needed.
Click My Projects on the left to display the copied template.
Click the ellipsis (...) on the right and select Edit.

Things to Prepare

A Wix form with fields set for the customer information you want to obtain.
This time, we set up an inquiry form.

Now, let's set up the app trigger.
Select "When a form is submitted".
Set the title as desired.
Check the account information to be integrated, do not change the action, and proceed to the next step.
Please follow the displayed steps to set up Webhook reception.

Automation is set from the following "New Automation".

When you open the settings screen, it looks like this.
Enter the Webhook URL displayed in the Yoom Flowbot settings screen into the target URL section.
Once saved, return to the Flowbot settings.

Click Test and confirm that the Wix form content is reflected in the output, then save.
Next, click "Add Issue".
Please also check the account information to be integrated.
Proceed to the next step and set the items.

Use the output as follows for the issue subject.

Set the issue priority to any level.

Select and enter the issue details from the output as follows.

Set other items as needed.
Once the selection from the output is complete, click Test and Save.
Finally, turn on the app trigger.
Thank you for your hard work.
Even someone like me who is not familiar with programming could easily set it up.

Other Automation Examples Using Wix

Additionally, Yoom offers templates using Wix and Backlog, so let me introduce a few!

1.Notify Microsoft Teams when a form is submitted on Wix flow.

This is recommended for those who manually notified each time a form was submitted.
By using this automation, you can save the trouble of checking Wix.

2.This is a flow to add submissions from a Wix form to a Google Spreadsheet.

The more content submitted through the form, the more time it takes to manually transfer the data.
By using this flow, the form content is automatically transferred to a Google Spreadsheet.
Accumulating information in a familiar Google Spreadsheet makes it easier to perform analyses and other tasks.

3.This is a flow where a form submitted on Wix is added to Notion and a notification is sent to Slack.

It not only automatically transcribes the form content to Notion but also sends a notification to Slack.
When there are many form responses, it takes more time, so let's take advantage of such automation!

We also offer various other flow bots. →Flow Bot Templates|Yoom

Summary

This time, we introduced a flow bot for "Adding to Backlog when a form is submitted on Wix".
By integrating Wix and Backlog, you can expect to reduce manual tasks and speed up customer response.
Additionally, as the burden of manual input decreases, staff will be able to focus on more important tasks.
This automation may enhance the quality of operations and support the provision of competitive services.
In particular, by utilizing the no-code tool Yoom, you can easily set up the integration and optimize business processes.

I have experienced finance-related work for about 3 years since I graduated as a new graduate. Due to the industry, there are so many tasks that are done manually, and I came across Yoom when I thought that if automated, I could do more other work. I'm impressed every day by the convenience of Yoom while writing a blog. I try to make the structure easy to understand.

What is Yoom hyperautomation?
Conventional RPA can only automate simple repetitive tasks, and the setup process was very complicated.
With “hyperautomation,” which combines various technologies such as AI, API, RPA, and OCR, it is possible to automate many tasks that could not be realized until now more easily than before.
Don't Just Connect Apps—Automate Everything
Most tools simply connect one app to another, leaving the complex tasks to you. Yoom goes much further: From document creation and browser automation to OCR and generative AI, Yoom handles it all seamlessly in one platform.

Why settle for basic integrations? Streamline your entire workflow with Yoom’s powerful hyperautomation.
