This time, we will create a flow bot that "notifies you via Gmail when a new video is published on YouTube"!
The creation process is broadly divided into the following steps.
As a preliminary step, we will link Yoom with the app.
Let's start by linking YouTube.
After logging into Yoom, click on My Apps and select ”+ Add”.
Search for YouTube in the search box of the app list and select it.
Clicking will take you to the screen to link with your Google account.
Select the account you want to link.
Click Continue.
Select Continue.
You have now registered your YouTube My App.
Next, let's link Gmail.
Follow the same steps as before: My Apps → + Add.
In the app list, search for Gmail in the search box and select it.
Click "Sign in with Google".
Select the account information you want to link.
Click Continue.
Select Continue.
You have now registered your Gmail My App.
Next, let's copy the template from the Yoom site.
In addition to using a template, you can also create a Flowbot from scratch!
Here, we will introduce a setup method that utilizes a template for easier configuration.
Let's click "Try it".
Select "OK".
Now you have a copy of the template.
The copied template is saved in My Projects.
Next, let's proceed to the Flowbot settings.
Click on "When a new video is published on the YouTube channel" in the copied template.
The title is already entered when copied, but you can change it.
Check the account information linked with YouTube.
Ensure that the trigger action "When a new video is published on the YouTube channel" is selected, and click Next.
Set the trigger activation interval.
The trigger activation timing can be set to 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or 60 minutes.
The shortest interval you can set depends on the plan you are using, so be sure to check that.
The trigger activation interval is the time set to check if the trigger action (when a new video is published on the YouTube channel) is executed.
It is generally recommended to set the shortest activation interval available.
Check the annotations to set the channel ID.
Once set, execute the YouTube trigger (publish the latest video) and click Test.
If you can obtain YouTube video information as output, save it.
This is the final setup step!
Click "Send Email".
You can change the title.
Check the account information linked with Gmail.
Set the To and Subject fields.
Set the body with the content you want to notify.
Create a message by selecting the output obtained from the YouTube trigger settings, as shown in the attached image.
By utilizing the output, there is no need to change the values each time.
Even without using the output, you can set the message, but notifying detailed information about the video will make it easier to share YouTube video information.
After setting, click Next.
Check the sending content and execute the test.
If you can send an email to Gmail, save it.
After saving, turn on the trigger and check the operation.
Now the Flowbot setup is complete.
