Let's Create a Flow to Automatically Notify Notion Data

Now, let's create a flow to automatically notify Notion data!
This time, we will proceed with the settings using Yoom without any code, so if you do not have a Yoom account yet, please issue an account from this registration form.

[What is Yoom]

This time, we will create a flow bot that notifies Telegram when a page is created in a specific database in Notion!
We will create it in the following steps.

  • Link Notion and Telegram with My Apps
  • Copy the template
  • Set the Notion trigger and Telegram operation
  • Turn on the trigger and check the operation of the integration flow

Step 1: Connect Notion and Telegram to My App

Let's register My App to connect Notion and Telegram to Yoom.
Completing the My App registration first will allow you to proceed smoothly with the automation settings.

Before connecting, let's create a page in Notion!
※ This time, we created a page like the image below.

1. Click on My App on the left side of the Yoom page and select "+ Add".
Enter "Notion" in the search box at the top right and select the Notion icon from the search results.

2. On the displayed screen, enter your email address and click "Continue".

On the next screen, click "Select a Page".

On the next screen, click "Allow Access".

3. Next, register Telegram to My App.
Search for Telegram using the same procedure as before.
On the next screen, enter the required fields and click "Add".

If Notion and Telegram are displayed in My App, registration is complete.

Step 2: Copy the Template

From here, let's create the flow! Since we are using a template, open the template page below and click 'Try it'.

The template will be automatically copied to your workspace. Click "OK" on the next screen.

Step 3: Setting the Notion Trigger

*The following screen will appear when you click "Notify Telegram when a page is created in a specific database in Notion [Copy]" in the Flowbot under "My Projects" on the left side of the Yoom page screen.

1. Click "OK" on the previous screen, then click the app trigger "When a page in a specific database is created or updated" on the displayed screen.

2. Check each item on the displayed screen. Leave the trigger action as is and click "Next".

3. Set the details on the displayed screen.
Select the "Trigger Interval".
*It is generally recommended to set it to the shortest time!
*The trigger interval can be set to 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 minutes. Please note that the shortest trigger interval varies depending on the plan.

4. Enter the "Database ID" according to the description below the input field.

5. After entering, execute "Test" and if successful, click "Save".
*The displayed output can also be used in the next settings.

Step 4: Database Settings

1. Click "Retrieve Records" to operate the database.

Check each item and click "Next".

Select the "Database ID" from the suggestions that appear when you click the input field or enter it according to the description below the input field.

2. Configure the detailed settings.
For "Conditions for the records you want to retrieve", select from the dropdown on the left and choose from the output that appears when you click the input field on the right.
*The left side contains unique non-duplicate items. The right side selects values that match the unique item from the output.

After entering, execute "Test" and if successful, click "Save".

Step 5: Telegram Settings

1. Click "Send Message" to integrate with the app.

Check each item and click "Next".

2. Set up the API connection.
Enter the "Chat ID" according to the description below the input field.

The "Message Content" can be selected from the output that appears when you click the input field.
*This time, it was set as shown in the image below.

After entering, execute "Test" and if successful, click "Save".

Step 6: Turn on the Trigger Button and Verify the Integration Flow

Click the "Turn on the trigger" button in the red frame on the screen below to automatically start the Flowbot.

Other Automation Examples Using Notion

You can create pages from information in emails, forms, spreadsheet tools, and databases, and automatically notify chat tools of created or updated pages.
