Let's Create a Salesforce and Mailchimp Integration Flow

Let's get started by creating a flow that integrates Salesforce and Mailchimp!
This time, we'll use Yoom to proceed with the integration of Salesforce and Mailchimp without any coding. If you don't have a Yoom account yet, please create one using the registration form.

This time, we'll create a flow where when a lead is registered in Salesforce, a contact is added to Mailchimp!
The creation process is broadly divided into the following steps:

  • Integrate Salesforce and Mailchimp into My Apps
  • Copy the template
  • Set up the app trigger
  • Integrate with Mailchimp and add the contact to the audience
  • Set the trigger to ON and complete the preparation for flow operation

This is a flow to add a contact to Mailchimp when a lead is registered in Salesforce.

Step 1: Connect Salesforce and Mailchimp to My App

(1) After logging into Yoom, select "My App" from the left column and click "+ Add".
From the app list in My App, click Salesforce.

(2) From the Salesforce login screen, enter your "Username" and "Password" and click Login.

(3) On the "Mailchimp Registration" screen, confirm the description and enter the account name, API Key, and server domain.
Once the input is complete, click "Add".

Click the icon at the top right of Mailchimp and click "Profile".

Click "Extras" and then click "API keys".

Click "Create A Key" to generate an API key.

Once the connection is complete, Salesforce and Mailchimp will be registered in My App on Yoom.

This completes the registration of My App.

Step 2: Copy the Template

We will use the template introduced earlier.

Step 3: App Trigger Settings

(1) Set up the configuration for when a new record is registered in the Salesforce lead object.
Click on "When a new record is registered in the lead object" in the app trigger.

(2) From the "Select Your Account" screen in Salesforce, verify that there are no errors in the account information connected to Salesforce, keep the trigger action as "When a new record is registered in the lead object," and click "Next."

(3) From the "API Connection Settings for the App Trigger" screen, select the trigger interval.
Select the trigger interval from the dropdown menu, choosing from 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or 60 minutes.
※ Please note that the shortest interval varies depending on the plan. We recommend using the shortest trigger interval whenever possible!

Scroll down, check the red line, and enter your My Domain URL.
Once the entry is complete, click "Test."

Step 4: Integrate with Mailchimp and Add Contacts to Audience

(1) Next, integrate with Mailchimp to add contacts to the audience.
Click on "Add Contact to Audience."

(2) From the "Select Integration Account and Action" screen in Mailchimp, verify that there are no errors in the linked account, keep the action as "Add Contact to Audience," and click "Next."

(3) From the "API Connection Settings" screen, select the audience ID from the options.

Scroll down and use the retrieved value from Salesforce to enter the email address.

The status can be selected from the dropdown menu.

Once the entry is complete, click "Test" and if no errors occur, click "Save" at the bottom.
