Registration takes just 30 seconds, so feel free to give it a try!

1. Sync Files Uploaded to Salesforce with OneDrive

When a file is uploaded to Salesforce, it is automatically synced with OneDrive, eliminating the need for manual copying and organizing. This facilitates smooth file sharing across the entire team and is expected to improve operational efficiency.

2. Create a folder in OneDrive when an account is registered in Salesforce

Since account information on Salesforce and related folders on OneDrive are automatically linked, team members can easily refer to relevant information. This helps prevent information leaks and duplication, supporting smooth business operations.

3. Save Files to OneDrive When Status Changes in Salesforce

When the status changes in Salesforce, related files are automatically saved to OneDrive, enabling centralized file management in the cloud! This is expected to facilitate smooth information sharing within the team.

Let's Create a Flow to Integrate Salesforce and OneDrive

Let's get started by creating a flow that integrates Salesforce and OneDrive!
This time, we will use Yoom to proceed with the integration of Salesforce and OneDrive without any code, so if you don't have a Yoom account yet, please create one from the Yoom registration form.

[What is Yoom]

This time, we will create a flow bot to "Sync files uploaded in Salesforce to OneDrive"!
The creation process is broadly divided into the following steps.

  • Integrate Salesforce and OneDrive with My Apps
  • Copy the template
  • Set up Salesforce triggers and configure each action
  • Set the trigger to ON and verify the operation

Step 1: Connect Salesforce and OneDrive with My Apps

Here, we will connect Yoom with each app so that operations can be performed on Yoom.

1. Connect Salesforce with My Apps

Log in to Yoom, click on "My Apps" on the left side of the Yoom management screen, and select "+ Add" displayed on the right side.

Enter Salesforce in the search box at the top right and select it from the search results.
If two apps are displayed here, click on the Salesforce that does not say (Sandbox environment).

Clicking will switch to the Salesforce login page. Log in with the account you want to use and allow access.

This completes the connection of Salesforce with My Apps!

*Salesforce is an app available only with the Team Plan and Success Plan. If you are on the Free Plan or Mini Plan, the operations and data connect of the flow bot you set will result in an error, so please be careful.
Paid plans such as the Team Plan and Success Plan offer a 2-week free trial. During the free trial, you can use apps that are subject to restrictions, so please take this opportunity to try them out!

2. Register OneDrive with My Apps

Similarly, search for OneDrive in the search box and select it.
When you log in with the Microsoft account you want to connect, it will automatically be linked with Yoom.

*Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) has a Home Plan and a General Business Plan (Microsoft 365 Business), and if you are not subscribed to the General Business Plan, authentication may fail.

If Salesforce and OneDrive are displayed in My Apps, the connection is complete!

Step 2: Copy the Template

Now, let's start creating the flow!
Templates are available to make it easy to set up, so let's make use of them. Log in to Yoom and click "Try it" on the banner below.

When you click, the template will be copied to your Yoom management screen as shown below, so press "OK" to proceed with the settings.

Step 3: Setting up Salesforce Trigger

This is the initial setup! First, click on "When a file is uploaded" .

Clicking will take you to the following screen. The account information contains the information of the account linked with My App in Step 1.
Change the title as needed, keep the trigger action as is, and proceed to the next step!

Next, set up the API connection.

Select the "Trigger Interval" from the dropdown menu. You can choose from 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or 60 minutes.
※ Please note that the selectable intervals vary depending on the plan.

For "My Domain URL," refer to the annotation below the input field and enter the My Domain URL obtained from Salesforce.

After completing the setup, upload a file to Salesforce for testing.
After uploading, return to the Yoom screen and click "Test." If the test is successful, you can output and retrieve the file information uploaded to Salesforce. Confirm that the output is obtained and "Save" it.

※ About Output
Output refers to the values obtained by executing "Test" during trigger or operation settings.
The obtained output can be used as a value during subsequent operation settings and will vary each time the flowbot is activated. For more details, please refer to here.

Step 4: Setting to Download Files from Salesforce

Once the trigger setup is complete, click on "Download File" .

As before, the account information contains the information from when My App was linked in Step 1. Change the title as needed, keep the action as is, and proceed to the next step.

Next, set up the API connection.
Enter the My Domain URL according to the annotation below the input field.
For the Content Version ID, click the input field to display candidates from the linked account and select from the candidates.

Once the input is complete, click "Test." Save after a successful test.

Step 5: Setting OneDrive Action

Finally, the last setup! Click on "Upload File".

Proceed to the next step to display the following screen.
Check for any errors in the account information to be linked. Change the title as needed, keep the action as is, and proceed to the next step.

Next, set up the API connection.

Set each item according to the annotation below the input field.

  • Drive ID: Select from the candidates displayed when you click the input field.
  • Destination Folder Name: Enter here if you want to specify the destination folder.

  • Item ID of the Destination Folder: Select from the candidates displayed when you click the input field.
  • File Name: Set the file name when storing.

※ By utilizing the output, you can quote the Salesforce title!

  • File Attachment Method: Set to "Use Output" and "File Data."

▼ The image below is an example of output input ▼

After completing the setup, click "Test." If the test is successful, the file will be uploaded to OneDrive, so confirm that it is stored correctly.

Step 6: Set the Trigger to ON and Check Operation

This completes the flowbot!
Finally, set the "Turn on the trigger" and check if the file uploaded to Salesforce is synchronized with OneDrive.

This was the method for synchronizing files uploaded to Salesforce with OneDrive!
