How to Create an Integration Flow between Asana and Slack

Step 1: Connect Asana and Slack to My Apps

Let's connect Yoom with the apps.

1. Register Asana to My Apps

First, connect from Asana.
After logging into Yoom's workspace, select My Apps in the top left and click New Connection.

Select Asana from the app list screen.

Enter your email address.

Please enter your password.

2. Register Slack to My Apps

Next, let's connect Slack.

Follow the same steps as before, select My Apps, and click New Connection.

Select Slack from the app list screen.

Enter the Slack URL of your workspace and click "Continue".

Scroll through the screen requesting permission for Yoom to access the workspace.
Select the channel you want to post to and click "Allow".

This completes the registration of Slack.

Step 2: Set the Schedule Trigger

Next, let's set up the Flowbot.
Please click "At 9 AM every day".

1. Specify Execution Time

・Check the days of the week you want to be notified.
・Enter the time you want to start the Flowbot.
・Once entered, save it.

Step 3: Set Asana Action

Next, click "Get a list of tasks overdue in a specific section" to proceed with the setup.

1. Select Linked Account and Action

・The title can be changed.
・Check the account information linked with Asana.
・Select the action "Get a list of tasks overdue in a specific section".
・Once set, click "Next".

2. API Connection Settings

・Select the Workspace ID from the options.
・Set the Project ID and Section ID.
・Enter the due date from the date field as shown in the attached image.
・Once set, run the test.

・If the test is successful and the output is obtained, save it.

Step 3: Set Slack Action

Next, click "Send a message to the channel" to complete the setup!

1. Select Linked Account and Action

・The title can be changed.
・Check the account information linked with Slack.
・Select the action "Send a message to the channel".
・Once entered, click "Next".

2. API Connection Settings

・Select the channel ID to post from the options. →The Yoom app must be added to the destination channel. For more details, please check here. ・For the message, select from Asana's output as shown in the attached image, and enter the message. →You can also add a mention by writing <@memberID>. Please check here. ・Once set, click test, and if the message is sent to Slack, save it.

When you click save, a message will appear indicating that the setup is complete, so click "Turn on Trigger".
