"Feeling burdened by managing order information data" "Want to streamline order data management" Do you have such concerns?

Improving operational efficiency and data accuracy are crucial challenges in modern business. Especially in order management, manual data updates and information sharing across multiple tools can become issues.

In this article, we will introduce a method to integrate Google Sheets with DEXTRE so that when a row is updated in Google Sheets, the order information in DEXTRE is automatically updated. Please take a look for reference.

Benefits and Examples of Integrating Google Sheets with DEXTRE

Benefit 1: Improved Work Efficiency

Managing order information can be cumbersome, especially when updating across multiple apps. These challenges can be addressed by integrating Google Sheets with DEXTRE. For example, e-commerce businesses handling large volumes of order data daily can simply input order information into Google Sheets, which will automatically reflect in DEXTRE, allowing for quick inventory management and shipment preparation. This automation can save employees' working time and allow them to focus on important tasks beyond data entry.

Benefit 2: Ensuring Data Consistency

Managing order data across multiple tools poses the risk of information discrepancies and missed updates. Automatic data updates to prevent such risks can be achieved by integrating Google Sheets with DEXTRE. Specifically, when the sales team updates customer order changes in Google Sheets, it is immediately reflected in DEXTRE. This ensures that the latest order status is always accurate, helping to avoid errors such as incorrect shipments or stock shortages.

Benefit 3: Smooth Interdepartmental Collaboration

Quick data sharing between departments within a company enhances overall responsiveness. Such smooth data sharing is possible by integrating Google Sheets with DEXTRE. For instance, compiling customer order information in Google Sheets can directly be used for inventory adjustments and sales strategy reviews in DEXTRE. This allows each department to make swift decisions based on the latest data.

Now, let's explain how to use the no-code tool Yoom to update DEXTRE's order information when a row is updated in Google Sheets.

[What is Yoom]

How to Update DEXTRE's Order Information When a Row is Updated in Google Sheets

When customer information is updated in Google Sheets, it is possible to receive that information via the Google Sheets API and update DEXTRE's order information using the DEXTRE API.

Generally, programming knowledge is required to achieve this, but using the no-code tool Yoom allows you to easily achieve it without programming knowledge.

We will proceed with the following major processes:

  • Registering My Apps for Google Sheets and DEXTRE
  • Copying the template
  • Preparing Google Sheets
  • Setting up triggers in Google Sheets
  • Configuring integration with DEXTRE

If you are not using Yoom, please register for free here.
If you are already using Yoom, please log in.

Step 1: Connect Google Sheets and DEXTRE with My Apps

First, let's register My Apps to connect Google Sheets and DEXTRE to Yoom.
By registering My Apps, you can set up automation smoothly.

First, let's register Google Sheets with My Apps.
Start by accessing the My Apps menu on the left side of the Yoom screen and click the "New Connection" button on the right side of the screen.

Enter "Google Sheets" in the search box, and when its icon appears, click on it.

Step 2: Copy the Template

Once My Apps is registered, the next step is to copy the template.
Click on the "Try it" button displayed to the right of the bar that says "Update DEXTRE order information when a row is updated in Google Sheets" below.

Clicking will complete the template copy.
If you cannot copy, you might not be logged into Yoom.

If you haven't used Yoom yet, please register for free here.
If you are already using Yoom, let's log in.

Step 3: Preparing Google Sheets

Next, prepare Google Sheets.
Prepare a list with items like "Order ID" and "Order Code", and this step is complete.

Examples of Automation Using Other Google Sheets and DEXTRE

There are many other examples of automation using Google Sheets and DEXTRE on Yoom, so let me introduce a few.

1. Template for Creating an Order Confirmation Sheet with DEXTRE When a Row is Added in Google Sheets

When information is added to Google Sheets, an order confirmation sheet in DEXTRE is automatically created.  This reduces the workload for the person in charge and streamlines the order processing.
It also helps prevent input errors and omissions.

2. Register product information in DEXTRE when a row is updated in Google Sheets

You can automatically register product information in DEXTRE based on row updates in Google Sheets. If you are managing products using both Google Sheets and DEXTRE, this eliminates the need to access each application, contributing to improved work efficiency.

3. Template for Sending an Email via Outlook When a Row is Updated in Google Sheets

When there is an update in Google Sheets, you can send an email to automatically notify the person in charge, reducing the effort of communication. Additionally, by including the quoted content in the email, it is expected to prevent errors from manual input.
