Let's Create a Flow to Automatically Notify Reddit Data
Let's get started on creating a flow to automatically notify Reddit data! This time, we'll proceed with the setup using Yoom, a no-code platform. If you don't have a Yoom account yet, please create one using the registration form.
[What is Yoom]
This time, we will create a flow bot that notifies Slack when a post is created in a Reddit subreddit! The creation process is broadly divided into the following steps:
Connect Reddit and Slack with My Apps
Copy the template
Set up the Reddit trigger and Slack action
Turn on the trigger to complete the flow operation setup
Step 1: Integrate My Apps with Reddit and Slack
1. How to Register with Reddit
Once logged into Yoom, click the "My Apps" button. Then, click "Add" and enter Reddit in the search box.
Enter the email address and password registered with Reddit and click the "Login" button.
This completes the integration of My Apps with Reddit.
2. How to Register with Slack
Follow the same steps as before and click "Add", then search for Slack. When the screen below appears, enter the URL and click "Continue".
When you move to the next screen, click "Allow".
This completes the integration of My Apps with Slack.
Step 2: Copy the Template
From here, you will start creating the flow! With Yoom, you can easily automate tasks by using templates that are set by default. To set up automation, click "Try it" on the banner below.
Read the display on the screen below and press the "OK" button.
Step 3: Setting a Trigger to Activate When a Specific User Posts on Reddit
Click on the Reddit icon "When a post is created in a subreddit" to set it up!
The items on the screen below are set by default! Make sure the trigger action is set to "When a post is created in a subreddit" and proceed to the next page.
You can select the trigger interval from 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or 60 minutes. It is recommended to use the shortest interval for your plan!
※Note: Depending on the plan details, the shortest interval for setting triggers may vary, so please be aware of this.
Please set the username by referring to the annotation outside the frame.
Once you have set the activation interval and username, open the Reddit screen and create a post in a subreddit for testing purposes. (You can freely set the content of the post!)
After returning to the previous Yoom screen, execute the test at the bottom of the screen. Once the retrieved values are obtained, click "Save" to save the settings after confirming. ※Reference: For detailed explanation about the retrieved value, please see this page.
Step 4: Send Message to Slack Channel
Next, set the item "Send message to channel" on the Slack icon.
The items on the screen below are already set. Once you confirm that the action is set to "Send message to channel," click the "Next" button to proceed!
For the channel ID to post to, select the channel ID you want to use for automatic notifications from the displayed options.
The message is set by default as shown on the screen below. By setting it this way, when a post is created in a subreddit on Reddit, you can automatically retrieve the "title," "subreddit name," and "post body," and automatically notify the Slack channel ID you set earlier! You are free to change the message content, so feel free to change the retrieved values or body you want to use and try using it.
Once set, click "Test" and if the test is successful, save the settings.
Step 5: Turn ON the Trigger
Finally, click "Turn ON the Trigger" to complete the automation setup for the flow "Notify Slack when a post is created in a Reddit subreddit"! Run the flow to ensure the flow bot activates correctly.

Through Yoom, we will continue to send out information on a daily basis so that we can solve your problems even a little bit!
Conventional RPA can only automate simple repetitive tasks, and the setup process was very complicated. With “hyperautomation,” which combines various technologies such as AI, API, RPA, and OCR, it is possible to automate many tasks that could not be realized until now more easily than before.
Most tools simply connect one app to another, leaving the complex tasks to you. Yoom goes much further: From document creation and browser automation to OCR and generative AI, Yoom handles it all seamlessly in one platform.
Why settle for basic integrations? Streamline your entire workflow with Yoom’s powerful hyperautomation.
