"I want to quickly share the meeting recording URL with the team, but it's a hassle to send it manually..."
"I forgot to send the recording URL to the team members..."
Manual sharing tasks can be quite cumbersome, can't they?

However, if you integrate Zoom with Slack, you can automatically notify Slack of the recording URL after the meeting ends, or easily share the webinar registrant list, reducing the hassle of these tasks!

By utilizing these automation flows, you might be able to speed up information sharing and improve team productivity.

In this blog, we will introduce how to easily achieve the above automation without any coding!
Why not use this method to reduce waste in your work?

For those who want to try it as soon as possible

By using Yoom, you can easily integrate Zoom and Slack without any coding.
Yoom provides templates for integrating Zoom and Slack in advance, so you can achieve integration immediately just by registering, even without any API knowledge.

What You Can Do by Integrating Zoom and Slack

By integrating the APIs of Zoom and Slack, you can automatically transfer Zoom data to Slack!
For example, you can automatically execute data transfers like the ones below without any manual intervention.

Simply click "Try it out" on the automation example you're interested in and register an account to immediately experience the integration of Zoom and Slack. Registration takes only 30 seconds, so feel free to give it a try!

Notify Slack with the recording URL when a meeting ends in Zoom

By utilizing this flow, you can seamlessly share recordings with the entire team without missing anyone.

Create a Zoom Meeting Based on Form Information and Notify Slack

This flow is recommended for those who want to streamline the meeting creation process, as it allows you to quickly process the information entered in the form, create a meeting, and notify Slack of that information!

Let's Create a Zoom and Slack Integration Flow

Let's get started by creating a flow that integrates Zoom and Slack!
This time, we'll use Yoom to proceed with the integration of Zoom and Slack without any coding. If you don't have a Yoom account yet, please create one using this registration form.

[What is Yoom]

This time, we will create a flow bot that notifies Slack with the recording URL when a meeting ends on Zoom!

The creation process is broadly divided into the following steps.

  • Integrate Zoom and Slack with My Apps
  • Copy the template
  • Set up Zoom triggers and Slack actions
  • Turn on the trigger to complete the flow operation setup

Step 1: Zoom and Slack My App Integration

1. How to Register Zoom

Click on "My Apps" → "Add" and search for Zoom.

Once you have entered the Client ID and Client secret, click "Add".
※Reference: For detailed setup instructions, please check Zoom (OAuth) My App Registration Method.
※Note: The above integration method is within the scope of Zoom's Admin-managed permissions. If you want to integrate within the scope of User-managed permissions, please refer to here.

‍This completes the Zoom My App integration!

2. How to Register Slack
Similarly, click "Add" and search for Slack.

When the above screen is displayed, select the channel you want to use and click "Allow".
※For detailed instructions on setting up Slack My App, please check here.

This completes the Slack My App integration!

‍Step 2: Copy the Template

Let's proceed with the automation settings!
You can easily set it up by using Yoom's templates.

Click "Try it" on the banner below.

The template will be automatically copied, so click "OK" to start setting it up!

Step 3: Setting the trigger to activate when the meeting ends

First, click on "When the meeting ends".

The settings on the above screen are complete, so if there are no issues, click "Next" as is!

Please select the trigger interval from the dropdown as desired.
Note: The shortest activation interval varies depending on the plan, so please be careful.

Set the email address to the one used with your Zoom account.

Once you have set this up, create and end a meeting in Zoom to use in the subsequent operation test.

Click "Test" at the bottom of the screen, and if the Zoom meeting information can be retrieved in the retrieved value, save the settings!

Step 4: Setting the action to get recording information from Zoom meetings

Next, set up "Get Meeting Recording information".

The settings on the above screen are complete, so if there are no issues, click "Next" as is!

Ensure that the Meeting ID is set as shown above.
By setting it this way, the "Meeting ID" can be automatically retrieved and referenced when the meeting ends.

After executing the test, click the "Save" button to save the settings.

Step 5: Setting the action to send the recording URL to a Slack channel

Finally, set the item "Send recording URL to channel".

The settings on the above screen are complete, so if there are no issues, click "Next" as is!

Please set the destination channel ID by referring to the annotation outside the frame.

The message is set by default as shown on the above screen.
(The message content can be changed according to your needs!)
By setting it as shown on the above screen, when a meeting ends, the "Topic", "Sharing URL", and "Viewing Passcode" can be automatically retrieved and notified to Slack.

After executing the test, click the "Save" button to save the settings.

Step 6: Turn on the trigger

Finally, turn on the trigger and check the flow operation!
This completes the flow of "Notifying the recording URL to Slack when a Zoom meeting ends".
