How to integrate Google Forms, Dify, and Slack to create responses to inquiries submitted via Google Forms using Dify and notify them on Slack

Now, let's explain how to use the no-code tool Yoom to create responses to inquiries submitted via Google Forms using Dify and notify them on Slack.

This can be achieved by receiving responses submitted to Google Forms using the Google Forms API and creating responses to inquiries using the API provided by Dify.
Additionally, by using the API provided by Slack, you can also notify Slack of the inquiry content and response content.
Generally, programming knowledge is required to achieve this, but with the no-code tool Yoom, it can be easily achieved without programming knowledge.
This time, we will create it through the following major processes.

  • Integrate Google Forms, Dify, and Slack with My Apps
  • Copy the template
  • Set triggers in Google Forms and set actions in Dify and Slack
  • Set the trigger to ON and complete the preparation for flow operation

If you are registered with Yoom, please log in, and if you are not registered, please proceed with the settings after registering for free.

Step 1. Integrate Google Forms, Dify, and Slack with My Apps

First, integrate Google Forms, Dify, and Slack with My Apps.
After logging into Yoom, click "My Apps" on the left side of the screen and proceed with the settings from "+ New Connection".

Search for Google Forms and click on it.

Then sign in using "Sign in with Google".

After signing in, you will see "Yoom is requesting access to your Google account", so please press "Continue".

Next, search for Dify and click on it.

※For how to integrate Dify with My Apps, please refer to here.

Set an arbitrary name for "Account Name".
Enter the API key issued by Dify for "Access Token".
After entering, click "Add" to complete the integration with My Apps.

Next, search for Slack and click on it.

Enter the Slack workspace URL on the next screen and click "Continue".

Then sign in to Slack.

On the next screen, specify the channel to post to and click "Allow".
This completes the integration with My Apps.

Next, let's proceed with the settings using the Flow Bot template.
Log in to Yoom and click "Try it" on the banner below.

A message saying "Template has been copied!" will appear, so click "OK" to complete the copy.

Step 2. Set up a Google Form Trigger

Next, set up a trigger for the Google Form.
Click "When a response is submitted to the form".

Next, check the "Account information to integrate with Google Form".
You can freely edit the title, but leave the trigger action as it is and click "Next".

Select the "Trigger interval" from 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or 60 minutes. A shorter setting is generally recommended.
Please note that the shortest trigger interval varies depending on the plan.
Refer to the annotation to obtain and enter the "Form ID" from the corresponding form URL.
For information on how to obtain response content when using Google Forms as a trigger, please refer to here.

Once everything is entered, send a test response to the specified form and click "Test".

Confirm that the response information is displayed in the output and click "Save".

Step 3. Set up Dify Actions

Next, set up Dify actions.
Click "Send chat message".

As before, perform optional title editing and account information verification, leave the action unchanged, and click "Next".

Set the message content to be sent to Dify.
Since Dify generates response content based on the sent message, enter a message including "Inquiry content" in "query".
"Inquiry content" can be selected from the options displayed when you click the field.
Enter a half-width alphanumeric value (any identifier) for "user" as per the annotation.

Once everything is set up, click "Test", check the output content, and click "Save".

Step 4. Set up Slack Actions‍

Next, set up Slack actions.
Click "Send a message to the channel".

Similarly, perform optional title editing and account information verification, and click "Next".

Next, set up the Slack connection and message content.
Obtain and enter the "Channel ID to post to" from Slack.
The "Message" can be edited optionally, and by clicking the field, you can quote information obtained from Google Form or Dify.
In this case, I created a message including "Inquiry content" and "Response content" as shown in the image.
Once each item is set, click "Test".
After confirming that the message has been sent to Slack, click "Save".

Click "Turn on Trigger" to complete the flow setup.
Now, when there is an inquiry via Google Form, the response content will be automatically created in Dify and notified in Slack.

Benefits and Examples of Integrating Google Forms, Dify, and Slack

Benefit 1: Streamlining Operations and Reducing Workload

Manually processing inquiries from Google Forms can be time-consuming and burdensome for staff, right? By implementing automation using Dify and Slack, when an inquiry is received via Google Forms, Dify automatically generates a response, which is then notified to Slack. This eliminates the need to manually check Google Forms or transcribe information, allowing for smoother customer interactions. Companies that receive a large number of inquiries might particularly experience the efficiency benefits of automation.

Benefit 2: Improving Response Speed with Quick Notifications

Quick and accurate responses to inquiries are key to enhancing customer satisfaction, aren't they? By leveraging app integration, more effective customer service can be achieved. Specifically, if a notification is quickly sent to Slack when an inquiry is submitted, the responsible person can smoothly check and respond. Additionally, responses created by Dify can be modified by humans for more accurate answers. This leads to improvements in the speed and accuracy of responses. In highly competitive industries, this speed can be a differentiating factor and a major element in gaining customer trust.

Benefit 3: Preventing Human Error

When handling inquiries manually, there is always a possibility of input errors or communication mistakes, right? Especially during busy periods with a high volume of inquiries, the risk of human error may increase. However, by automating with Google Forms, Dify, and Slack, you can eliminate the need to transcribe questions, send notifications, and create responses from scratch. This should help prevent the risk of incorrect information entry or communication omissions. Additionally, even for complex inquiries, analyzing the content through Dify reduces the risk of misinterpretation by the responsible person. As a result, it should support more error-free responses.

Conclusion

We introduced methods to automate and streamline inquiry handling through the integration of Google Forms, Dify, and Slack. App integration should help eliminate manual transcription work and support quick and accurate customer service. In companies that receive many inquiries or industries where quick responses are required, this integration is likely to have a significant impact.
