Let's Create a Salesforce and WordPress Integration Flow
Now, let's create a flow that integrates Salesforce and WordPress! This time, we'll use Yoom to proceed with the integration of Salesforce and WordPress without any code. If you don't have a Yoom account yet, please register for an account through the Yoom registration form.
[What is Yoom]
This time, we will create a flow bot that creates a WordPress post when a record is registered in Salesforce! The creation process is broadly divided into the following steps.
Connect Salesforce and WordPress with My Apps
Copy the template
Set the Salesforce trigger and WordPress action
Set the trigger to ON and complete the flow operation preparation
Step 1: Integrate My App with Salesforce and WordPress
Here, we will integrate Yoom with each app to enable operations.
1. Integrate My App with Salesforce
Salesforce is an app available only with the Team Plan and Success Plan. Be aware that other plans will result in an error during setup.
Paid plans like the Team Plan and Success Plan offer a 2-week free trial, during which you can use apps that are usually restricted.
After logging into Yoom, click on My Apps on the left side of the Yoom page screen, and select "+ Add" on the right.
Enter "Salesforce" in the search box at the top right and select it from the search results.
If two apps are displayed here, click on the Salesforce that does not say (Sandbox Environment).
You will then be taken to the Salesforce login page, where you should log in with the account you wish to use and grant access. This completes the integration of My App with Salesforce.
2. Register WordPress with My App
Next, register WordPress with My App. As before, click on My Apps on the left side of the Yoom page screen and search for WordPress from "+ Add".
On the next screen, enter the required fields and click Add.
If Salesforce and WordPress are displayed in My Apps, registration is complete!
Step 2: Copy the Template
Now, let's start creating the flow! We use templates for easy setup, so let's copy this first. Log in to Yoom and click on "Try it" in the banner below.
When you copy, the template will be copied to your Yoom management screen as shown below, so press "OK" to proceed with the settings.
Step 3: Setting up Salesforce Triggers
This is the initial setup! First, please click "When a new record is registered in the custom object".
Clicking will take you to the following screen.
The section labeled "Account Information" contains the information from when you linked My App in Step 1. Change the title as appropriate, leave the trigger action as is, and proceed to the next step!
On the next page, please enter the following three items to connect with Salesforce via API.
*Regarding "Trigger Interval," the time you can specify varies depending on your contracted plan. For details, please see here.
For "My Domain URL," please refer to the annotation and enter the My Domain URL obtained from Salesforce.
Once all items are entered, register a new record in Salesforce and click "Test" to check for errors.
Scroll down the screen and check if the output is displayed correctly.
Step 4: Setting up Salesforce Actions
Once the trigger setup is complete, click "Retrieve record".
Proceeding to the next step will display the following screen.
The section labeled "Account Information" contains the information from when you linked My App in Step 1. Handle the title and trigger action as before and proceed to the next step.
Please enter the My Domain URL and the API reference name of the object. If you do not know the API reference name, please refer to this page. Once you have finished entering, click "Next."
Next, configure the database details. Select the conditions of the records you want to retrieve using the dropdown and output. By clicking "+ Add Trigger Condition," you can add conditions for the records.
Once the input is complete, click "Test." If there are no issues, click "Save" at the bottom.
Step 5: Setting up New Post Creation in WordPress
Finally, the last setup! Click "Create New Post".
Proceeding to the next step will display the following screen. Make sure the account information for integration is correct.
Next, configure the API connection settings. Select "Slug," "Title," and "Content" from the output that appears when you click the input field.
The content can be set freely, but for this example, it is set as shown in the screen below. With this setting, you can automatically retrieve "Product Name," "Product ID," and "Product Description" registered in Salesforce from the output and quote them in the content of a new post in WordPress. You can freely change the text and the output you want to retrieve according to your needs!
If the test is successful, click "Save."
Step 6: Set the Trigger to ON and Complete Flow Operation Preparation
This completes the flow bot! Thank you for your hard work!
Finally, turn the trigger ON. With this, all settings are complete, so check if a post is created in WordPress when a record is registered in Salesforce! This is how to create a post in WordPress when a record is registered in Salesforce!
