■Overview
When handling audio files, especially AIFF files, do you manually convert them to MP3 for sharing or playback? Although simple, this conversion process can take more time than expected. With this workflow, simply upload an AIFF file to Dropbox, and the RPA feature will automatically convert it and save it to the specified folder. Eliminate the hassle of manual file conversion and keep your work moving smoothly.
■Who Is This Template For?
- Anyone who regularly handles AIFF files and manually converts them to MP3
- Teams that use Dropbox as file storage and want to streamline audio file management
- Professionals responsible for process improvement who are interested in automating routine PC tasks, such as file conversion
■Benefits of Using This Template
- Automate everything from `aiff to mp3` conversion to file storage when a file is uploaded to Dropbox, reducing the time spent on manual tasks
- Prevent human errors such as selecting the wrong file or saving it to the wrong location, improving work accuracy
■Flow Bot Workflow
- First, connect your Dropbox account to Yoom
- Next, select Dropbox as the trigger and set the “When a file is created or updated in a specific folder” action to define what starts the Flow Bot
- Then, configure Dropbox’s “Download a file” action as an operation to download the AIFF file detected by the trigger to Yoom
- Next, configure the RPA feature’s “Operate the browser” action as an operation to convert the file format using an online converter or another service of your choice
- Finally, configure Dropbox’s “Upload a file” action as an operation to upload and save the converted MP3 file to the specified folder
■Customizable Points in This Workflow
- In the Dropbox trigger settings, specify the folder path or file name you want the “When a file is created or updated in a specific folder” action to monitor
- For Dropbox’s “Download a file” action, specify the path to the folder where the AIFF files to be converted are stored
- For Dropbox’s “Upload a file” action, specify the path to the folder where you want to save the converted MP3 files
※“Trigger”: An action that starts the flow; “Operation”: An action that performs processing within the flow after the trigger starts
■Notes
- Connect Dropbox to Yoom.
- You can select a trigger interval of 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 minutes.
- Note that the shortest available trigger interval varies by plan.
- The “Operate the browser” operation is available only on the Success Plan. On the Free, Mini, and Team Plans, the configured Flow Bot operation will result in an error.
- Paid plans, including the Success Plan, are available for a two-week free trial. During the free trial, you can use restricted apps and the “Operate the browser” operation.
- See the following for instructions on configuring the “Operate the browser” operation.
