Add a contact to an audience in Mailchimp when an attendee registers in Eventbrite

Add a contact to an audience in Mailchimp when an attendee registers in Eventbrite

Launch this workflow to connect Eventbrite & Mailchimp !

■Overview

Are you manually adding attendee lists from your Eventbrite events to Mailchimp? This process is time-consuming and can lead to human errors, such as incorrect email addresses or missed registrations. With this workflow, you can connect Mailchimp and Eventbrite with no code and automatically add attendees to your Mailchimp audience when they register for an Eventbrite event. Streamline attendee management and keep your marketing efforts running smoothly.

■Who This Template Is For

  • Event organizers who use Eventbrite and Mailchimp and want to reduce the effort of manually managing lists
  • Marketing professionals who want to prevent errors and omissions when transferring data between Eventbrite and Mailchimp
  • Anyone looking to follow up with event attendees quickly and boost customer engagement

■Benefits of This Template

  • Automatically add contacts to Mailchimp when attendees register for an Eventbrite event, reducing manual data entry and freeing up time for more important work.
  • Eliminate manual data transfers to reduce the risk of human errors, such as incorrect email addresses and duplicate registrations.

■How the Workflow Works

  1. First, connect Mailchimp and Eventbrite to Yoom.
  2. Next, select Eventbrite as the trigger and set the action to “When an attendee is registered or updated.”
  3. Then, configure Mailchimp’s “Search for a contact (exact match by email address)” action as an operation to check whether the attendee already exists in the list.
  4. Use the branching feature to continue to the next step only when the contact does not exist.
  5. Finally, configure Mailchimp’s “Add a contact to an audience” action as an operation to automatically add the new attendee to the list.

※“Trigger”: An action that starts the workflow. “Operation”: An action that performs a process within the workflow after the trigger starts.

■Customization Options

  • In the Eventbrite trigger settings, specify the organization ID for which you want to receive notifications.
  • When searching for or adding a contact in Mailchimp, you can choose which email address information retrieved from Eventbrite to use.
  • With the branching feature, you can freely customize conditions based on information retrieved by previous operations, in addition to the “when the contact does not exist” condition.
  • When adding a contact to Mailchimp, you can reference values retrieved from Eventbrite, such as the attendee’s name and event name, and assign them to any fields you choose.

■Notes

  • Connect both Mailchimp and Eventbrite to Yoom.
  • You can choose a trigger interval of 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 minutes.
  • Note that the shortest available trigger interval varies by plan.
  • Branching is an operation available on the Mini plan and above. On the Free plan, operations configured in workflows that use branching will result in an error.
  • Paid plans, including the Mini plan, offer a two-week free trial. During the free trial, you can use apps and features (operations) that are otherwise subject to plan restrictions.

Mailchimp

This is a flow that adds to Microsoft Excel when an email is opened in Mailchimp. By using this flow, the process of adding information is automated, reducing the time and effort required for the task. The saved time can be allocated to other important tasks, contributing to increased productivity.

When an email is opened in Mailchimp, this flow sends a notification to Google Chat. As soon as an email is opened in Mailchimp, a notification is sent to a Google Chat space, allowing the person in charge to quickly detect customer interest and provide timely follow-up.

When information is submitted through Yoom's input form, a flow is initiated to add a contact to Mailchimp. The data integration between Yoom's form and Mailchimp allows the entire team to share the same information, enhancing transparency in operations.
