How to Create a Workflow for Integrating Airtable and SMSLINK

The workflow to integrate Airtable and SMSLINK using Yoom involves the following four processes:

・Register Airtable and SMSLINK as My Apps
・Copy the template
・Set up the trigger for Airtable and Chrome extension as the starting point of the flow, followed by the SMSLINK sending settings
・Turn on the trigger button and verify the integration between Airtable and SMSLINK

Step 1: Integrate Airtable and SMSLINK as My Apps

First, register Airtable and SMSLINK in My Apps to integrate them with Yoom.

1. On the left side of the Yoom management screen, select "My Apps" and click "+ New Connection".

2. In the subsequent screen, search for "Airtable" and "SMSLINK" respectively and proceed to the next screen.

Click "Grant access" to complete the registration in My Apps.

・Enter the account name and access token to complete the registration in My Apps.

Step 2: Copy the Template

Next, copy the template to integrate Airtable and SMSLINK.

1. Open the link to the template below.

2. Click "Try this template" to complete the copy.

Step 3: Setting up the Triggering Airtable and Chrome Extension

Next, set up the trigger action that will initiate the flow.
In this flow, set Airtable and the Chrome extension as triggers.

1. Select "My Projects" in the Yoom management screen and click "Send SMS from SMSLINK using Airtable information [Copy]".
*You can change the template title on the next screen.

2. Click "Install Extension".

*Using a trigger with the Chrome extension allows you to directly launch the trigger from Airtable.

3. Click "Add to Chrome".

4. Click "Add Extension" to complete the extension setup.

5. Click "Launch from Chrome Extension Trigger Record Detail Page".

6. Verify the account to be linked with Airtable and click "Next".
*Other items are set by default.

7. Enter the Base ID, Table ID, and a sample URL of the launch page, then test.
*Refer to the following image for the sample URL of the launch page.

*To obtain the "Sample URL of the Launch Page", first select one record from the Airtable record list (any will do) and click the Expand mark.
The record detail page will be displayed, and you can obtain it from the link mark in the upper right corner.

8. Once the test is successful, click "+Add Value to Retrieve" as values will be retrieved from Airtable in the output.

9. Click the "+" mark next to the item you want to add, and it will be displayed in "Values to Add".
Select the necessary items and click "Add".
*Here, select the customer's phone number registered in Airtable or items that vary for each customer to add to the message.
*You can change the item name to any notation by clicking the pencil mark that appears when you hover over it.

10. Confirm that all the necessary items for the message are displayed in the output list and save.

Step 4: SMSLINK Sending Settings

Finally, set up SMSLINK to send automatically.

1. Click "Send SMS by Integrating with App".

2. Verify the account information to be linked with SMSLINK and click "Next".
*Other items are set by default.

3. Set the necessary information for sending SMS, such as phone number and message.
*For each item, select the corresponding value from "Launch from Record Detail Page" in the output that appears when you click the frame. This dynamically reflects values such as phone numbers that change for each customer. You can also directly enter a template message.
*In this flow, it is assumed that the phone number and individual message required for SMS sending are registered in Airtable.

4. After entering the necessary items, test and save if successful.
*When testing, a message will be sent to the phone number listed in the Airtable record selected in Step 3.

5. Enable this flow by turning the trigger ON.

6. To send SMSLINK to a customer, open the details of the target record in Airtable.
Click the Chrome extension button in the upper right and select "Yoom".

7. The created flow bot will be displayed, click "Launch".

8. Click "Launch" to automatically send SMSLINK to the customer.
