How to integrate BASE with Salesforce to add orders to Salesforce when they occur in BASE

n.watanabe

Have you ever faced the challenge of spending too much time on order management and sales data processing while running an e-commerce site, leaving you unable to focus on other tasks? The solution to this problem is the integration of BASE and Salesforce. With this integration, you can automatically register data in Salesforce when an order is placed on BASE, reducing the need for manual input and preventing input errors. Additionally, it allows for more detailed sales analysis based on order information, which can aid in strategic decision-making.

With Yoom, you can streamline your operations starting today, as it allows for intuitive integration without the need for programming knowledge!

Benefits of Integrating BASE and Salesforce

The benefits of integrating BASE and Salesforce extend beyond order information management to include easier sales analysis, which is essential for running an e-commerce site.

Benefit 1: Reduced Effort for Order Information Management

When an order is placed on BASE, the data is automatically added to Salesforce, making it easier to record sales data. For example, there is no need to manually input data, preventing information leaks and input errors, and reducing the workload. For sales management personnel, having accurate data readily available can save the effort needed for corrections, allowing more time to focus on other tasks.

Benefit 2: More Detailed Sales Analysis

While sales analysis is possible with BASE alone, integrating with Salesforce to reflect accurate information allows for more detailed and customizable analysis. For instance, you can conduct sales analysis by combining order data with customer attribute information and past purchase history, making it easier to understand the impact on specific customer segments or promotions.

This supports strategic decision-making for e-commerce site operators and is expected to help seize opportunities to increase sales.

How to Create a Flow for Integrating BASE and Salesforce

Let's integrate BASE and Salesforce using Yoom.
This flow involves "adding to Salesforce when an order is placed on BASE."
It can be completed in three steps, including pre-preparation for My App integration!

Please note that Salesforce is an app available only with the Team Plan and Success Plan. For Free Plan and Mini Plan users, operations and data connections set in Flowbot will result in errors, so please be careful.

However, paid plans such as the Team Plan and Success Plan offer a two-week free trial. During the free trial, you can use apps that are normally restricted.

Click "Try it" on the banner below to copy the template.

Step 1: Connect BASE and Salesforce with My Apps

First, let's connect Yoom with BASE and Salesforce using My Apps.
After logging into Yoom, click "My Apps" on the left menu, then click "+ New Connection".

Search for each app name and enter the required information displayed.
For Salesforce, be careful not to connect My Apps with accounts linked to other apps. For more details, please refer to the help page below.

How to Register Salesforce with My Apps

Once the app connection is complete, it will be displayed in the My Apps list.

If BASE is also displayed similarly, the My Apps connection is complete.

Next, copy the template to My Projects and create a Flow Bot.
If you haven't copied it yet, please copy the Flow Bot template from below.

1. Hover over the banner and click "View Details"
2. Click "Try this template" on the redirected page
3. Register with Yoom
* If you have already registered, the login screen will be displayed, so please log in.

Step 2: Set the Trigger

The initial setting is "When an order occurs".
On the first page, check that the account information linked with My App is reflected.

Without changing the title and trigger action, click "Next".
On the next page, set the trigger interval.

This setting determines how often to check for order occurrences.
Set it according to your business needs and click "Test".

If the test is successful, you can obtain the output.

Finally, click "Save" to complete the app trigger settings.

Step 3: Add a Record in Salesforce

The next setting is "Add a Record".
Enter the details of the information to be added to Salesforce.

On the first page, as with BASE, check the account information registered with My App.
Then, enter the Salesforce domain information in the field below.

When you enter your My Domain URL, candidates for API reference names will appear, so select the one you want to reflect the order information.

After entering the required information, click "Next" to verify that the specified domain is recognized correctly.

On the next page, test reflecting records in the specified table.
Enter temporary values and perform the "Test".

If the values are reflected correctly, all settings are complete.
Finally, turn on the trigger and activate the template!

Now, the order information from BASE will be automatically registered in Salesforce.

Automation Example Using BASE and Salesforce

There are many other examples of automation using BASE and Salesforce on Yoom, so let me introduce them.

1. BASE can streamline product management by integrating with Google Sheets. When a row is added and product information is entered into the specified sheet, the information can be automatically reflected in BASE. Since inventory management can be done on Google Sheets, there is no need to switch between apps, allowing you to always check the latest information, making it easier for teams to manage the e-commerce site.

2. Salesforce can automatically send partnership emails by integrating with Outlook mail and utilizing Google Chrome extensions. You can send thank-you emails with just one click, which will help busy e-commerce site operators build trust with their business partners.

Summary

By integrating BASE with Salesforce, you can reduce the burden of manually entering and managing order information, leading to more efficient e-commerce site operations. With Yoom, you can easily connect these apps without the need for programming knowledge.

From order management to sales analysis, you can expect highly accurate business operations while saving effort. Sign up for Yoom for free now and start streamlining your operations!
