How to integrate Bubble and Box to automatically create a folder in Box when a Thing is created in Bubble

m.wadazumi

Enhancing security and accurate data management are crucial in modern business. In this article, we introduce an automation process that integrates Bubble and Box, creating a folder in Box whenever new data is registered in Bubble. This simplifies the preparation work at the start of a project, allowing administrators to focus on project management. Additionally, by leveraging Box's security features, customer information can be managed safely.

Recommended for

  • Those who use Box to share files and data within the company
  • Those who want to manage customer data securely
  • Those who want to streamline the setup process for new projects

Benefits and Examples of Integrating Bubble and Box

Benefit 1: Easier Data Management

When a Thing is created in Bubble, a folder is automatically created in Box, making data management easier. For example, related files and contract information for each customer are stored in Box folders, eliminating the need to create folders manually. Additionally, since everyone in the company can manage customer information with the same folder structure, the storage location of files becomes clear. This is particularly beneficial for projects involving multiple departments, as it makes folder verification easier.

Benefit 2: Simplified New Project Setup

Automatically creating a folder when a project starts simplifies the project setup process. For example, when recording software development data in Bubble, a folder is automatically created in Box, making new project setups smoother. This way, by simply recording data in Bubble, a folder is automatically created in Box, saving the effort of creating a folder each time a new project is launched. Additionally, project managers can focus on planning and progress management, freed from data management tasks.

Benefit 3: Enhanced Security of Customer Information

Integrating Bubble and Box can enhance the security of customer information. For example, when customer data is registered in Bubble, a folder for each customer can be automatically created in Box. This ensures that customer personal information is stored in Box, preventing data loss or leakage. Moreover, it eliminates the risk of customer data being stored in another customer's folder, preventing mistakes of using the wrong customer's data. Furthermore, by setting user permissions on Box folders, only specific employees can view them.

We will introduce the automation method using Yoom to integrate Bubble and Box.

How to Create a Bubble and Box Integration Flow

This time, we will introduce the setting method for the following template: "Create a folder in Box when a Thing is created in Bubble." By using this template, you don't need to set up automation from scratch, which is convenient.

The integration flow is broadly divided into the following processes: - Register Bubble and Box as My Apps - Copy the template - Set the trigger for Bubble, which is the starting point of the flow, and configure the subsequent Box operations - Turn on the trigger button and verify the integration operation between Bubble and Box If you are not using Yoom, please register for free from here. If you are already using Yoom, please log in. Step 1: Register Bubble and Box as My Apps Please register Bubble and Box as My Apps to connect them to Yoom. By registering as My Apps first, you can easily automate settings. Register Bubble as My App. Click "My Apps" → "New Connection" on the left side of the Yoom screen. A list of apps will be displayed, so search for Bubble or use "Search by App Name." The following screen will be displayed, so read the instructions and set the "Account Name," "Access Token," and "Subdomain." For detailed instructions on how to register My Apps, please check here. Next, register Box as My App. Similarly, search for Box from the list or use the search function. When the following screen is displayed, log in to Box. The following screen will be displayed, so click "Allow Access to Box." If Bubble and Box are displayed in My Apps, the registration is complete. Step 2: Copy the Template To set up automation, click "Try it" on the banner below.

Read the following screen display and click "OK".
