[About Yoom]
How to Create a Discord and Slack Integration Flow
First, let's integrate Yoom with each app. This is called "My App Integration". My App Integration is very easy!
My App Integration
From the menu on the left side of the "My Projects" page, select "My Apps"!
↓
First, integrate Discord with Yoom. Make sure you are logged into Discord in advance! Next, click on "+ Add" at the top right. Enter "Discord" in the search box, and when the Discord icon appears, click on it.
Enter the Account Name and Access Token, then click "Add".
Discord My App Integration is now complete. It finishes very quickly, doesn't it! Let's continue with the Slack integration.
↓
Click "Create New" at the top right! Enter "Slack" in the search box, and when the Slack icon appears, click on it!
↓
A screen like the one above will be displayed, so select the desired channel and press "Allow" to integrate Slack with Yoom. My App Integration is now complete!
Next, please click "Try it" on the banner below.
You will see "Template has been copied", so click "OK".
Slack Trigger Settings
Click on the Slack icon "When a new message is posted to a channel"! Once the page moves, enter the App Trigger Title and Trigger Action, but since you are creating a flowbot using a template, it is already filled in.
Check if the account information to be linked is correct and proceed to the next step!
↓
Next, we will select the Slack channel. When a message is posted to the selected channel, it will be notified to Discord, so choose any channel you like. Click inside the box labeled Channel ID to display a list of Slack channels, and click to select one!
Once you have done this, press the test button at the bottom of the screen. If "Test Successful" is displayed in blue, press save!
Discord Settings
Next is the Discord settings. Once you have set up Discord, the creation of the flowbot is complete. It’s quick, isn’t it!
Click on the Discord icon "Send a message to a text channel". The screen will transition, but as before, since we are using a convenient template, if there is no problem with the Account to link with Discord, press next.
↓
You are now on the API connection settings page. Next, you need to enter the Webhook URL, but don’t worry, there is a help page available. You might think "Is it difficult because there is a help page?", but don’t worry! Entering the Discord Webhook URL is really easy!
Once you have entered the Webhook URL, decide on the message content, but this is also already filled in because we used a template. Templates are really convenient…!
And with that, all the settings are complete. Press the test button, and if "Test Successful" is displayed in blue, check Discord. The content from Slack is properly forwarded, right?
This concludes the creation of the flowbot. Please remember to save at the end!
Other Automation Examples for Discord and Slack
In addition to the flow introduced this time, you can achieve various business automation by using the APIs of Discord and Slack. All can be used with simple settings, so if there is something you are interested in, please give it a try!
Examples of Automation Using Discord
Forward Gmail Messages to Discord
Just like chat tools, you can also integrate email applications like Gmail with Discord.
Notify Discord with meeting minutes after ending a Zoom meeting
This is a flow that automatically completes the creation of meeting minutes and sends a notification. It seems like it will make post-processing Zoom meetings significantly easier.
Retrieve records from Google Sheets where the date matches today and send a bulk notification to Discord daily
Once set up, notifications are sent automatically every day, which is useful for managing deadlines.
Examples of Automation Using Slack
Notify Slack When an Event is Created in Google Calendar
By integrating Google Calendar with Slack, you can prevent missed event sharing and reduce the effort of manually notifying others.
Notify Slack when a file is uploaded to OneDrive
This is recommended for those who frequently upload and share files.
Notify Slack when a ticket in Zendesk reaches a specific status
This will help you quickly become aware of status changes in Zendesk, making your next steps smoother.
Benefits of Integrating Discord and Slack
1. Send the Same Message to Different Tools! Even if you use Slack and Discord separately, aren't there times when you want to send the same message content to both tools? That's when you should integrate Slack and Discord! By integrating, when a message is sent to one app, the same content will be sent to the other app as well.
2. Easy Management of History! Even if you don't need to keep all logs, this kind of integration is convenient when you want to move only part of the content to one of the tools. If you can keep a history of only the desired content, management becomes easier, and you can also use it to "share only specific content with specific members"!
3. Automate Simple Tasks! Let's automate the simple task of posting the same content to other tools. Repetitive tasks are inherently suited for automation, so once you create a flow bot, it becomes much easier afterward!
Conclusion
Slack and Discord are frequently used apps, aren't they? Checking and sending messages are very important for business. However, these tasks tend to be ones you think "I don't want to spend too much time on this" or "It's quick, so I'll do it later," making them tasks that easily pile up. In other words, this is where the true value of automation is demonstrated. Simple tasks are easy to create flow bots for, and you can focus more on core tasks, which can significantly save time! To reduce the hassle of switching between two different apps, try creating a flow bot with Yoom to integrate Slack and Discord!

After working as a general store manager, I started working from home as an SEO writer. Later, an outsourcing agreement was signed with a marketing startup for about 5 years.
Surrounded by students at the University of Tokyo, I held a computer and spent my days studying various business terms and how to use SaaS tools.
When I was a general store manager, time was taken over and over again by office work such as sales and inventory management, human resource management, and ordering, etc., and I was unable to serve customers and often missed sales times. Even when outsourcing, there are many detailed tasks such as input, etc., and “can't such monotonous tasks be automated?” I thought so, and I really sympathize with Yoom's vision!
Conventional RPA can only automate simple repetitive tasks, and the setup process was very complicated. With “hyperautomation,” which combines various technologies such as AI, API, RPA, and OCR, it is possible to automate many tasks that could not be realized until now more easily than before.
Most tools simply connect one app to another, leaving the complex tasks to you. Yoom goes much further: From document creation and browser automation to OCR and generative AI, Yoom handles it all seamlessly in one platform.
Why settle for basic integrations? Streamline your entire workflow with Yoom’s powerful hyperautomation.
