This time, we will use Yoom to proceed with the integration of Google Sheets and Google Chat without coding, so if you do not have a Yoom account yet, please issue one from thisregistration form.

The creation process is broadly divided into the following steps.

  • Integrate Google Sheets and Google Chat with My Apps
  • Copy the template
  • Set triggers in Google Sheets and actions in Google Chat
  • Set the trigger to ON and complete the preparation for flow operation

Step 1: Integrate My App

Integrating My App first will make the subsequent settings proceed smoothly.
First, let's integrate your Google Spreadsheet with Yoom.
From the left side of the Yoom page, select My App → + Add.


When the app menu list is displayed, search for Google Spreadsheet.
Then, you will see this screen, and if there are no issues, click Continue.

※Integration with Google Chat is only available in the Google Workspace environment.

Step 2: Copy the Template

From here, we will create the flow.
Open the template page and click 'Try it'.

As you proceed, the template will be automatically copied to your workspace, and the following screen will be displayed.

Select OK and proceed to the next step.

The template will be saved in My Projects.
You can change the template name if necessary.
Click on My Projects on the left to display the copied template, then click on the ellipsis (...) as shown below and select Edit.

Things to Prepare

Prepare a Google Spreadsheet where you can add the text before and after translation before setting up the flow!

Step 3: Set Up Google Spreadsheet Trigger

Now, let's set up the app trigger.
Select "When a row is added".

Feel free to change the title.
Check the account information you linked earlier, do not change the trigger action, and proceed to the next step.
Set the required fields.
This setting determines how many minutes after a row is added to the Google Spreadsheet this trigger will activate.

  • Trigger Activation Interval:Depending on your plan, the shortest interval you can set for the trigger varies.
    It is generally recommended to use the shortest activation interval for your plan.
  • Spreadsheet ID: Click the relevant field to display selection options, and choose from the candidates. (If the created one is not displayed, try re-linking My Apps.)

  • Sheet ID: Select from the candidates.

  • Table Range: This time, it was set as follows. Try setting it according to your sheet!

Return to Flowbot and click Test.

Step 4: Set Up Translation for Added Text

Next, click "Translate".

Please also check the account information here.
Select the conversion type from the following and proceed to the next step. Please note that tasks within parentheses will be consumed.

  • Text to be Translated: Select from the output.

The item selected from the output will be displayed as shown below.

This is a sign that the value is being quoted, allowing you to use the value obtained by the trigger as is.
If you manually enter fixed text here, the extraction result of that text will appear every time the flow is activated, so be sure to select from the output.

Once the settings are complete, test it, and if the extraction result is displayed in the output, save it.

Step 5: Set Up Record Update

Next, to set up updating the translated results using AI features to the Google Spreadsheet, click "Update Record".

Here too, set up the database integration configured in Step 3.

Proceed to the next step and set the conditions for the record you want to update as follows.

Set the values of the updated record only after translation.

Test this as well, and if successful, save it.

Step 6: Set Up Sending Messages to Google Chat

Next, to set up sending the translated results using AI features to Google Chat, click "Send Message".

Check the linked account information here as well and proceed to the next step.
Set the required fields.
