Project managers who want to automate meeting minutes with Notion and ChatGPT
Office workers who want to prevent task management oversights
Team leaders who want to facilitate smooth information sharing in remote teams
SME representatives who want to start efficient business collaboration with no-code
IT administrators who want to enhance business transparency
Benefits and Use Cases of Integrating Notion and ChatGPT
Benefit 1. Automation of Task Generation from Messages
When a message is posted in Notion, ChatGPT automatically generates a task and adds it to Notion. For example, when a team member posts a message during a meeting, ChatGPT generates a specific task based on the content and adds it to the project. This automates the task creation process and helps prevent manual registration errors. Tasks can be consistently managed from the initial stages of work, potentially improving work efficiency.
Benefit 2. Automatic Task Content Updates
Existing task content is also automatically updated by ChatGPT based on information posted in Notion. For instance, when a comment regarding project progress is added to Notion, ChatGPT modifies the content of the related task and updates it to reflect the latest information. This ensures that task content is always managed in its most current state, enhancing project transparency. Manual update work is reduced, making it easier to grasp progress status.
Benefit 3. Centralization and Efficient Utilization of Information
The integration of Notion and ChatGPT allows for the centralization of information from different sources and its efficient utilization. For example, ChatGPT summarizes new information added by the team and applies it to related tasks or project pages. This process ensures that necessary information is properly integrated, facilitating smooth information sharing across the team. In the course of business operations, information consistency is maintained, and decision-making is expected to be faster and more accurate.
Easily Integrate Notion and ChatGPT with the No-Code Tool Yoom
Here, we introduce a method using the no-code tool Yoom, recommended for creating workflows that integrate Notion and ChatGPT! With the no-code tool Yoom, anyone can easily perform app integration. In Yoom, you can set it up by simply proceeding with intuitive operations on the browser, without any programming expertise, so anyone can use it immediately!
[What is Yoom]
Let's start using Yoom to integrate Notion and ChatGPT! By following the steps below, you can easily create it. Once you get used to it, you can create a flow bot in about 10-20 minutes!
1. First, log in to Yoom and click "+ New Connection". 2. Select the Google Sheets and Google Chat apps you will use this time. 3. Select any project from the project list on the left and click "+ Create New".
2: Set Trigger
4. Select "When a specific app event is received" as the condition for starting the flow bot. 5. Select "Notion" from the app list. 6. Set the app trigger title to "When a message is added". Account information linked with Notion: Select the account you linked earlier. Trigger action: Select "When a page is created or updated". 7. Set up the API connection. Trigger activation interval: Set as desired. 8. Conduct a test, and if successful, click "Save". ※ Note: The Notion you set must have an action that triggers within the last hour, or an error will occur. Be sure to create or update a page before creating the flow.
Step 3: Set Action
9. Click the ⊕ button below the app trigger and select "Integrate with app". 10. Select "ChatGPT" from the app list. 11. Set up the linked account and action. Title: Set to "Respond". Account information linked with ChatGPT: Select the account you linked earlier. Action: Select "Converse". 12. Set up the API connection.
Message content: Click inside the box, click "When a message is added" in the output, and select "Page title". ※ Note: Confirm that it is displayed as {{Page title}} as shown in the image above. ※ Explanation: By setting it this way, you can automatically enclose the page title created on Notion with ChatGPT.
Step 4: Set Action
13. Click the ⊕ button below the action. 14. Select "Integrate with app" as the operation type. 15. Select "Notion" from the app list. 16. Set up the linked account and action. Title: Set to "Update record". Account information linked with Notion: Select the account you linked earlier. Action: Select "Update page properties (text properties)". 15. Set up the API connection.
Page ID: Click inside the box, click "When a message is added" in the output, and select "Page ID". ※ Note: Confirm that it is displayed as {{Page ID}} as shown in the image above. ※ Explanation: By setting it this way, you can automatically reference the Notion page ID. Property name: Set as desired.
Value: Click inside the box, click "Respond" in the output, and select "Response content". ※ Note: Confirm that it is displayed as
Step 2: Set Notion Trigger
First, set the trigger at the top of the flow.
If the app integration is complete, the registered account information should be reflected, so please check it.
If there are no issues, press the "Next" button to proceed. There is no need to change the trigger action in this flow.
Next, proceed to the API settings. The trigger activation interval is set to 5 minutes, but it can be set to intervals of 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes. Press the "Test" button, and if no errors appear, save and proceed to the next step.
Step 3: Integrate with Discord
Next, move on to the Discord settings.
As with Notion, confirm that the information is reflected since the app integration is complete, and proceed with the "Next" button.
Next, set up the Discord API connection.
Obtain the Webhook URL of the channel to notify and press the "Test" button. (Refer to this guide for how to find the Webhook URL.) If no errors appear, a notification will be sent to Discord at this point, so please check it.
Return to the flow list screen and turn on the trigger.
Reconfirm that no errors appear, and the setup is complete!
as shown in the image above. ※ Explanation: By setting it this way, you can automatically reference the response content from ChatGPT.
Well done! With this, the flow bot "When a message is posted to Notion, generate a task with ChatGPT and update it within the same Notion" is complete!
