Step 1: Register Perplexity and Notion in Yoom

Let’s start with connecting Perplexity and Notion in Yoom first.

Connect Perplexity

After logging into Yoom, go to "My Apps" from the left side menu and click "+ Add".

Search for Perplexity from the app list and select it.

Enter an account name.
Use a name that's easy to recognize, such as your company name or the person responsible for the account.

To get your Access Token, access here.

Once all the required fields are filled, click "Add" to complete registration.

Now, Perplexity is connected with Yoom.

Connect Notion

Next, let's connect Notion.
As before, click on My Apps → Add.

⚠️ Note: Databases created after registering with Yoom cannot be linked, so make sure to prepare the database you plan to use before registering in My Apps. If you’ve already linked it with Yoom but need to use a new database, you’ll need to register in My Apps again.

Search for Notion in the app list and select it.

Log in with your Notion account. When the following screen appears, click "Select Pages."

Select the page(s) to grant access to the database and click "Allowing Access".

Step 2: Copy the Template

Step 3: Set Up Form Trigger

Let's start by setting up the form trigger. Click on the "Inquiry Form".

The form must include at least one question item, while other items can be added optionally. For this example, we added questions to collect “Responsible Person” (Person in Charge), and “Inquiry”. 

Enter the form title in the "Form" field. If needed, click on "Add Form Description" to include an optional description

Click "Add" to add more question items.
Once the settings are complete, click "Next".

Enter sample values for each "Retrieved Value" that will be used in the subsequent actions.
Once the settings are complete, click "Save".

Step 4: Generate Text with Perplexity

Next, click "Generate Text".

Set the action title (optionally). Confirm the setting, and click “Next”.

Select the text you want to generate a response for. In this example, we’ve selected ”Inquiry Content” from the previous step. This means Perplexity use the submitted form’s inquiry content to generate a response. 

It’s recommended to use the retrieved value from the previous step. By doing so, you can reference the information obtained from the form.

You can also rewrite the instructions if needed.

Click "Test". When the test is successful, the generated response will be added to the “Retrieved Data”.

Step 5: Add Record to Notion

This is the final item.
Click "Add Record".

Give your action a title (optional) and confirm the pre-configured settings. Then click “Next”.

Select the Database ID from the displayed options. (This is where you specify which database you want to update.)

Once set, click “Next”.

You should see the items in the Notion record. Use the corresponding retrieved value for each item to set them up.

For this example, we’ve entered “Person in Charge”, “Inquiry Content”, and “Response”.

For the Response field, select "Message Content" from the retrieved value from Perplexity.

Once you've done this, click “Test”. If the record is registered in Notion, save it.

Step 6: Activate  the Flowbot

Toggle the "Trigger On" button to activate your flow!

Check if the Flowbot you set up is working properly.
