How to Create a Workflow to Integrate Trello and Notion

So far, we have introduced the benefits.
Let's quickly integrate the apps we will use this time with Yoom!
Once you have completed the registration of My Apps, we will create a flow bot "Add to Notion when a card is registered in Trello".

Step 1: Integrate My Apps

Integrating My Apps first will make the subsequent settings proceed smoothly.
First, let's integrate the Trello you are using with Yoom.
Select My Apps → New Connection from the left side of the Yoom page.

Please search for Trello.
Please refer to this article for registration.

Next, integrate with Notion.
Search by app name in the same way as before and proceed with the integration.
Once logged in, don't forget to check the page you want to access. (In the subsequent database integration, the page you want to add will not be reflected.)
This time, since we want to register on a page called test1001, we will check it.

Once the integrated apps are displayed in My Apps, you're done.

Step 2: Set Triggers and Actions

This time we will use.
Open the template page and click 'Try this template'.
If you are using Yoom, log in, and if you are new, please register as a member.

When you proceed, the template will be automatically copied to your workspace.
You can change the template name as needed.
Click on My Projects on the left, and the template you just copied will appear.
Click on the ellipsis (...) on the right and select Edit.

This time, there are two steps.
Let's set it up together!

Now, let's set up the app trigger.
Select "When a card is newly created (Webhook)".
You can change the title to make it easier to understand.
Check the account information to be linked.
Keep the trigger action as it is and proceed to the next step.
Please set the required fields.

  • Username: Please check from Trello's "Profile and Visibility" screen

Here, create a test card in Trello.
This time, I entered "Research about Yoom".

Return to Flowbot, and if the test is successful, proceed to the next step.
Test without entering anything on the following screen, and if the Trello card information is reflected in the output, save it.

Next, click "Add Record".
Again, check the account information to be linked.
Keep the action as it is and link the database.

Proceed to the next step, and select the required fields from the output as follows.

Set other items in the same way.

Test this as well, and if there are no issues, save it.
Let's take a look at the Notion side.

It has been successfully reflected!
Finally, turn on the app trigger to complete.
Thank you for your hard work.

Even someone like me who is not familiar with programming was able to proceed easily.

Other Automation Examples Using Trello and Notion

Besides the flow introduced this time, you can achieve various business automations by using the APIs of Trello and Notion.
Both can be used with simple settings, so if there's anything you're interested in, please give it a try!

Other Automation Examples with Trello and Notion

You can extract tasks from Notion until the end of this month and create cards in Trello.
Additionally, by integrating with Slack, you can archive Trello cards and send notifications when the status is marked as complete in Notion.

Example of Automation Using Trello

Add to Trello When a Task is Registered

When a task is registered, it can be automatically added to Trello, streamlining the process of manual input into Trello.

Register a Task in Trello When a Deal is Won

You can automate routine tasks according to the progress of the deal, eliminating the need to request or give instructions for each task.

Notify when a new card is created in Trello

With notifications, you can immediately be aware when a new card is created, allowing for quick responses that help ensure smooth progress of the entire project.

Examples of Automation Using Notion

Extract tasks due today from the Notion database daily and send batch notifications

By sending batch notifications for tasks due today, there is no need to manually notify each member, and the tasks to be done that day may become clear among the team.

Summarize Incoming Content and Post Messages to Notion

By quickly reflecting summaries of incoming emails and post messages in Notion, you can achieve faster data management operations.

Benefits of Integrating Trello and Notion

Reduction of Manual Work and Improvement of Work Efficiency

By integrating Trello and Notion, you can save the effort of manually transferring card information, allowing you to spend more time on other tasks.
This should also reduce the risk of human errors such as input mistakes due to manual work.
In scenarios where multiple projects or tasks are managed, the introduction of this automation contributes to improving the quality and accuracy of work, thereby enhancing overall work efficiency.

Real-time Information Updates and Sharing

When a new card is added in Trello, the information is immediately reflected in Notion, enabling the entire team to quickly grasp the latest task status.
This eliminates information time lags, allowing the entire team to act based on the same information, potentially preventing task omissions.
Even in projects that require quick decision-making, smooth responses are possible, making it easier to grasp overall tasks and contributing to the smooth progress of the project.

Summary

This time, we introduced a flow bot that "adds to Notion when a card is registered in Trello"!
By integrating Trello and Notion, you can expect a reduction in manual work and the realization of real-time information sharing.

Although we integrated with Notion this time, it is also possible to transfer to other apps like kintone.
Moreover, by utilizing Yoom, you can easily create automated flows without programming knowledge!

I have experienced finance-related work for about 3 years since I graduated as a new graduate. Due to the industry, there are so many tasks that are done manually, and I came across Yoom when I thought that if automated, I could do more other work. I'm impressed every day by the convenience of Yoom while writing a blog. I try to make the structure easy to understand.

What is Yoom hyperautomation?
Conventional RPA can only automate simple repetitive tasks, and the setup process was very complicated.
With “hyperautomation,” which combines various technologies such as AI, API, RPA, and OCR, it is possible to automate many tasks that could not be realized until now more easily than before.
Don't Just Connect Apps—Automate Everything
Most tools simply connect one app to another, leaving the complex tasks to you. Yoom goes much further: From document creation and browser automation to OCR and generative AI, Yoom handles it all seamlessly in one platform.

Why settle for basic integrations? Streamline your entire workflow with Yoom’s powerful hyperautomation.
