How to integrate Wix with Asana to add a task in Asana when a form is submitted on Wix
k.ohshiro
Many people use Asana for managing tasks and projects. It's a very convenient service because it allows for efficient progress management. However, on the other hand, you might feel burdened by the need to manually add tasks each time. This is where the integration discussed in this article might be helpful. This time, we introduce a method to automatically add form information submitted on Wix as tasks in Asana! It's recommended for those who want to make task management more efficient by integrating Wix and Asana. If you're interested, please try the automatic integration with Yoom.
[What is Yoom]
Benefits of Integrating Wix and Asana
Benefit 1. Streamlining Task Management
For those who manually add tasks to Asana based on Wix form information, using this automatic integration eliminates the need for additional work. This reduces the workload, allowing you to focus on other high-priority tasks. Additionally, manual additions often result in a time lag before the information is reflected, but automation allows for speedy updates. This enables project managers to adjust priorities and assign tasks based on the latest information. These points lead to overall project efficiency improvements and are expected to enhance productivity.
Benefit 2. Avoiding Human Error
When there are many tasks performed manually, the risk of human error increases, potentially hindering operations. For example, if a task is missed, accurate progress management becomes difficult, and smooth operations may be disrupted. Alternatively, when adding a task like "Send Documents," it might be added with the wrong address, resulting in the documents not reaching the customer. Automating input tasks minimizes such risks, reducing unnecessary effort and preventing opportunity loss.
Wix and Asana Integration Flow
Now, let's introduce how to integrate Wix and Asana. The flow we introduce this time is "Add to Asana when a form is submitted on Wix." The specific integration steps are as follows.
Set up an app trigger on Wix
Add a task to Asana
Yoom provides the above two steps as a template. You can create a flow bot more easily than starting from scratch, so first click the "Try it" button on the banner below to copy the template! Once the copy is complete, you can operate it from "My Projects" in the sidebar.
Wix and Asana My App Integration
After copying the template, register Wix and Asana in Yoom's My Apps as a preliminary step. ※ If you have already registered, please proceed to "Step 1. Setting the App Trigger".
<Procedure>
1. After logging into Yoom, click "My Apps" → "+ New Connection" in order
2. Search for Wix and Asana from the search window and enter the necessary information for each registration
The following information is required when registering Wix
The part "××××××××" in https://manage.wix.com/dashboard/××××××××/setup is the site ID
If Wix and Asana are displayed in the My Apps list, the preparation is complete! Let's proceed to the detailed settings right away!
If you haven't copied it yet, please copy the Flowbot template from below.
1. Hover over the banner and click "View Details" 2. Click "Try This Template" on the page you moved to 3. Register for Yoom ※ If you have already completed registration, the login screen will be displayed, so please log in.
Step 1. Set Up App Trigger
First, open the template you copied earlier from "My Projects" in the sidebar.
Next, click the app trigger "When Form is Submitted".
On the first page, the pre-linked Wix account information will be displayed, so please check it and if there are no issues, click "Next".
On the next page, set up the Webhook event reception. Follow the instructions and refer to the following article to set it to activate when the form is submitted. Wix Automation: Sending Data via Webhook
Once all settings are complete, click "Test" to check for errors.
If there are no issues up to this point, the trigger setup is complete by clicking "Save".
Step 2. Add Task
Next, click "Add Task".
On the first page, the account information will be displayed as in Step 1, so if there are no issues, click "Next". On the second page, set up to add a task. "Task Name", "Project ID", and "Section ID" are required fields, so be sure to enter them. Utilize the information in the output or candidates to fill in.
Other fields are optional, but it is recommended to use the information output from Wix to fill in the task description in detail. This way, you can check the task details just by accessing Asana, reducing the need to go back to check the original form information. It is pre-written to include "Form ID" and "Submission Date", so please make changes as necessary.
Click "Test" and if no errors appear, click "Save". If a popup like the one below appears, all settings are complete. When you turn the trigger ON, the flow will execute.
Other Automation Examples Using Wix
Yoom offers numerous automation examples using Wix. It can integrate with various apps, so please refer to the following representative examples.
1. Add to Google Sheets when a form is submitted on Wix
This flow automatically adds form information to another tool, similar to the automated integration introduced in this article. If you use Google Sheets, please take a look. It's recommended for those who want to analyze data obtained from forms.
2. Notify Slack When a Form is Submitted on Wix
For those using Slack as a communication tool, please refer to the following template. It helps prevent missed confirmations by sending automatic notifications.
3. Notify Microsoft Teams when a form is submitted on Wix
This integration also involves a flow that sends automatic notifications. It is recommended for those who use Microsoft Teams in their daily work.
Summary
How was it? The above was the procedure for integrating Wix and Asana! As you can see, Yoom can be used without programming knowledge, making it easy to set up integrations. I've been working for SaaS companies as a customer success since I was a student.
I was working using multiple cloud services, and there were times when I thought it would be convenient if services could be linked more easily with each other.
Since apps can be linked without code with Yoom, anyone can easily set it up.
I would like to be able to convey the appeal of Yoom in an easy-to-understand manner and contribute to improving everyone's work efficiency!
Conventional RPA can only automate simple repetitive tasks, and the setup process was very complicated. With “hyperautomation,” which combines various technologies such as AI, API, RPA, and OCR, it is possible to automate many tasks that could not be realized until now more easily than before.
Most tools simply connect one app to another, leaving the complex tasks to you. Yoom goes much further: From document creation and browser automation to OCR and generative AI, Yoom handles it all seamlessly in one platform.
Why settle for basic integrations? Streamline your entire workflow with Yoom’s powerful hyperautomation.
