How to Create a Wix and SendGrid Integration Flow

Now, let's set up the integration and automation of business flows between Wix and SendGrid.

Using a template, we will introduce the procedure for creating a business flow of "Registering a contact in SendGrid when a form is submitted in Wix".

Before You Start

1. Please create a form for responses in Wix and a (contact) list in SendGrid to register the information obtained from the form as contacts.

2. Please log in to Yoom.

3. Click the "Try it" button below to copy the template in Yoom. 

Step 1: Integrate My Apps with Wix and SendGrid

*If you have already completed the app integration, please proceed to Step 2.

1. Select "My Apps" from the left menu and click "+ New Connection" on the right side of the screen.

2. From the list of new connections in My Apps, select Wix and SendGrid respectively, and integrate the apps.

*For generating the API key and obtaining the account ID required for Wix integration, please refer to the "Generate API Key" and "Obtain Account ID" sections in this official help center article. Additionally, the site ID can be confirmed from the Wix URL. If the URL is "https://manage.wix.com/dashboard/●●●/setup", the part ●●● is the site ID.

*For creating the API key required for SendGrid integration, please refer to the "Create API Key" section in this official user manual article. Please note that if you select "Read Access" for permissions, you will only be able to use read functions such as data retrieval.

Next, copy the template to My Project and create a flow bot.
If you haven't copied it yet, please copy the flow bot template from below.

1. Hover over the banner and click "See Details"
2. Click "Try This Template" on the page you moved to
3. Register for Yoom
※ If you have already completed registration, the login screen will be displayed, so please log in.

Step 2: Setting the Trigger to Activate When a Form is Submitted in Wix

1. Open the copied template.
 ※ You can change it to any title from the red frame part in the figure below.

2. Click on the Flowbot's "App Trigger: When Form is Submitted".

3. Select the linked account and action.
 Change the title if necessary and click "Next".

4. Set up the Webhook event reception settings for the app trigger.
 Please refer to the instructions and precautions to set it to activate when the form is submitted.

5. Enter test values into the Wix form and click "Test" after submission.

6. If the test is successful, click "Save".

Step 3: Setting the Action to Add a New Contact in SendGrid

1. Click on the Flowbot's "Integrate with App: Add New Contact to Contact List".

2. Select the linked account and action.
 Change the title if necessary and click "Next".

3. Set up the API connection.
 ・Email Address, Last Name, First Name: Use the output obtained in Step 2 to input.
 ・List to Add "List ID": Enter or select the ID of the list to which you want to add the contact.
  ※ The figure below is an example of input.

 ※ If you want to add to multiple contact lists, click "+ Add List to Add" to set it. Also, to delete the second and subsequent input frames, click the ✕ mark at the top right of the frame.

4. Click "Test".

5. If the test is successful, click "Save".

This completes the flow "Register a Contact in SendGrid When a Form is Submitted in Wix".

Switch the trigger of the saved flow to "ON" to activate it.
