When managing a YouTube channel, it's essential to check how many views you're getting, how many comments are coming in, and how many similar videos are being uploaded.
Therefore, many people might be accumulating this data in Google Sheets.
The issue here is the effort required for data entry and management. Checking reports and new videos daily and transferring data to Google Sheets can be somewhat tedious...
<span class="mark-yellow">That's why we recommend integrating YouTube with Google Sheets!</span> By automating data transfers through integration, you should be able to reduce your daily workload.
In this article, we'll introduce how to connect YouTube and Google Sheets using the no-code tool Yoom, even if you don't have programming knowledge!
We'll explain in detail, so please take a look.
By using Yoom, you can easily integrate YouTube and Google Sheets without any coding.
Yoom provides templates for integrating YouTube and Google Sheets, so you can achieve integration immediately just by signing up, even without API knowledge.
By integrating the APIs of YouTube and Google Sheets, you can automatically link YouTube data to Google Sheets!
For example, you can automatically perform data integration like the following without human intervention.
If you manage YouTube video information in Google Sheets, please give it a try.
You can expect to save the effort of adding data manually.
By setting specific keywords, you can add only the necessary video information to Google Sheets.
This flow is recommended for those who manually add channel reports to Google Sheets.
Let's get started by creating a flow that integrates YouTube and Google Sheets!
We will proceed with the integration of YouTube and Google Sheets using the no-code tool Yoom.
If you do not have a Yoom account yet, please issue one from the registration form here.
[What is Yoom]
This time, we will create a flow bot that "adds a new video posted on YouTube to Google Sheets"!
The creation process is broadly divided as follows.
Before setting up Flowbot, let's connect Yoom with the app.
Once logged into Yoom, select My Apps and click on "+ Add".
Use the search box in the app list to select YouTube.
After clicking, you'll be taken to a screen to connect with your Google account.
Please click on the account you wish to connect.
Click "Next".
Select "Continue".
You have now registered your YouTube My App.
Next, connect Google Sheets with Yoom.
As before, click My Apps → "+ Add".
Use the search box in the app list to select Google Sheets.
Click "Sign in with Google".
Select the account you wish to connect.
Click "Continue".
Select "Continue".
While you can create a Flowbot from scratch in Yoom, we will use a template for easier setup.
To copy the template, click "Try it" below.
Let's select "OK".
Now you have copied the template.
The copied template is saved in My Projects.
Once the preparations are complete, let's set up the flow bot!
Click on "When a new video is published on the YouTube channel" in the copied template.
The title is pre-entered, but you can change it.
Make sure to check the account information linked with YouTube.
Ensure that "When a new video is published on the YouTube channel" is selected as the trigger, and click Next.
Set the trigger activation time.
You can choose the trigger activation interval from 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or 60 minutes.
The shortest activation interval varies depending on the plan.
The trigger activation interval is the time to check if the event that triggers (a new video is published on the YouTube channel) is executed on YouTube at each set trigger activation interval.
If you want to get the latest information, set the shortest selectable time.
Set the channel ID.
Once set, click Test.
If the test is successful and you can get the YouTube output, save it.
Finally, we have reached the last item.
Click "Add Record" to proceed with the setup.
You can change the title.
Check the account information linked with Google Sheets.
Select "Add Record" as the action.
Select the spreadsheet ID from the suggestions.
Set the sheet name and table range.
Once set, click Next.
You should see the record information of Google Sheets.
Select the output obtained from the YouTube trigger for each item.
When using the output, it will be described as {{●●}}.
The part of ●● will be a variable value each time the trigger is executed.
If you do not use the output, the same content will be repeatedly added to Google Sheets, so be sure to utilize the output.
For more information on the output, please refer to here.
Once set, click Test.
If the test is successful and you can add it to the Google Sheets record, please save it.
After saving, turn on the trigger and check the operation.
Now the flow bot setup is complete.
By leveraging the APIs of YouTube and Google Sheets, various automations can be achieved!
How about considering the following automations?
You can notify a chat tool with YouTube channel reports or create contact information when a video with specific keywords is published.
You can create folders from the contents of Google Sheets or add records to other databases.
How was it? By integrating YouTube with Google Sheets, you can simplify the process of manually transferring reports by regularly accessing YouTube and searching for specific YouTube videos that haven't been uploaded. This may enable smoother content management and operation than before.
Data integration like this can be achieved without programming knowledge by utilizing the no-code tool Yoom!
Its simple design makes it easy for beginners to try, allowing anyone to easily implement automation.
