How to integrate Brushup with Notion to automatically add items to Notion when they are registered in Brushup

The process consists of only 4 steps, so it can be set up in 10-15 minutes.

1. Register Brushup and Notion as My Apps
2. Set a trigger to activate when a new item is created in Brushup
3. Set an action to add a record in Notion
4. Verify the automation between Brushup and Notion

Step 1: Register Brushup and Notion as My Apps

Let's register Brushup and Notion as My Apps in Yoom.
Registering as My Apps first will make the automation setup smoother.

First, let's register Brushup as My App.
Click "My Apps" → "New Connection" on the left side of the Yoom screen.
Search for Brushup from "Search by App Name" or find it from the app list.

When the following screen appears, check the description and set the "Account Name" and "Access Token".

Next, select Notion in the same way to register it as My App.
When the following screen appears, click "Select Page" within the red frame.

On the following screen, check the page you want to grant access to.
Once completed, click "Grant Access" within the red frame.

Once both My App registrations are complete, Brushup and Notion will be displayed.

Step 2: Set a Trigger to Activate When a New Item is Created in Brushup

For automation settings, click "Try it" on the banner below.

Read the following screen display and click "OK".

When the following screen is displayed, please check the "Title" and "Description".
If changes are necessary, you can click on the relevant section to make changes.
First, to set up Brushup, click "When a new item is registered or updated".

The following screen will be displayed, so please check the settings.

• "Title" → Can be changed if necessary
• "Account information to link with Brushup" → Check if the account is correct
• "Trigger Action" → When a new item is registered or updated
  

When the following screen is displayed, please configure the settings.

• "Trigger interval" → Select from 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 60 minutes
  * The trigger interval varies depending on the plan, so please be careful.
• "Project ID" → Check the description and set it

Once the settings are complete, click "Test" → "Test Successful" → "Save".

Step 3: Set up an action to add a record in Notion

Next, to set up Notion, click "Add a record".
The following screen will be displayed, so please check the settings.

• "Title" → Can be changed if necessary
• "Account information to link with Notion" → Check if the account is correct
• "Execution Action" → Add a record
  

Move to Notion and set the item names for testing.
* Be sure to use the table view.
As an example, it was set as follows.

Return to the Yoom screen, check the description, and set the "Database ID".

When the following screen is displayed, set the "Value of the record to be added".
The item names set in Notion earlier will be displayed, so use the Brushup output to set them.
Click the arrow in the red frame to use the Brushup output.
Set the corresponding output for other item names as well.
Once the settings are complete, click "Test" → "Test Successful" → "Save".

Step 4: Verify the automation between Brushup and Notion

Finally, click "Turn on Trigger" to complete the automation setup.
Check if the flowbot is activated.

Other examples of automation using Brushup and Notion

1. A flow that automatically notifies Microsoft Teams when an item is updated in Brushup.
‍Since item updates are automatically notified, you can check them quickly.
By setting the Microsoft Teams destination to a team, information can be easily shared.
