When you receive a lot of emails every day, it can be quite a hassle to save files to Dropbox each time.
Moreover, many people might have experienced the struggle of missing a file save or saving a file in the wrong folder, making it difficult to find later.

In this article, we will introduce a method to automatically save files received in Gmail to Dropbox!

By using no-code tools, you can easily set up automation between Gmail and Dropbox.
You can start using it right away, so be sure to give it a try!

Recommended for

  • Those who want to automatically upload files attached to Gmail to Dropbox
  • Those who want to integrate Gmail and Dropbox to facilitate smooth file sharing within the team
  • Those who want to prevent the loss of attachments and ensure proper document storage

For those who want to try it immediately

In this article, we will introduce the integration method using the no-code tool "Yoom".

No complicated settings or operations are required, and even non-engineers can easily achieve it.

You can start right away using the template below, so please give it a try!

We introduce an automation recommended for those who create calendars using Google Sheets and Outlook.
This time, we will introduce the setup of a flow bot that "automatically creates a calendar in Outlook when a row is added in Google Sheets."
By using this automation, sharing calendars will become smoother, reducing the risk of scheduling conflicts on the same day.

Benefits of Integrating Google Sheets and Outlook

Here are two benefits of integrating Google Sheets and Outlook.

Benefit 1: Time-saving

By integrating and automating Google Sheets and Outlook, you can be freed from manually setting schedules, leading to time savings.
By reducing the number of times you input schedules and simplifying schedule management, you can efficiently focus on other tasks.

Benefit 2: Smoother Calendar Sharing

Another benefit of these app integrations is smoother calendar sharing.
For example, when a sales representative inputs a meeting schedule with a client into Google Sheets, it is automatically reflected in Outlook.
This allows, for example, the sales team to smoothly check meeting information, making it easier to coordinate schedules among representatives, and also helps prevent forgotten appointments and double bookings.

To set up automation, click "Try it" on the banner below.

Read the following screen display and click "OK".

The following screen will be displayed, so please check the "Title" and "Description".
If you want to make changes, you can do so from the following page.
First, start with the Google Spreadsheet settings, and click "When a row is added".

When the following screen is displayed, check the settings.

  • "Title" → Can be changed as needed

  • "Table Range (End)" → In this case, E
※ Specify the alphabet of the column where the items end
  • "Column with Unique Values" → Specify the column with non-duplicate values
※ Be sure to specify a column with unique values. If values are duplicated, it may not work correctly. In this case, we specified C for the name column.

Scroll and read the description to set the "Value of the record after update".
Since we want to update the calendar ID obtained from Outlook, use the Outlook output for "Calendar ID".
Click "Test" → "Test Successful" → "Save".

Finally, click "Turn on Trigger" to complete the automation setup.

Other examples of automation using Google Spreadsheet and Outlook

1. This is a flow where an event is automatically registered in your calendar in Outlook when a row is added in Google Spreadsheet.
It is similar to the template introduced this time, but this template registers an event in your own calendar.

2. This is a flow that automatically registers an event in a specified user's calendar in Outlook when a row is added in Google Sheets.
Since the schedule is automatically registered in the specified user's calendar, it is recommended for those who are collaboratively registering schedules.

3. This is a flow that automatically sends an email via Outlook when a row is added to a Google Spreadsheet.
You can quickly check the information registered in the Google Spreadsheet.

Summary

This time, we set up a flowbot to "create a calendar event in Outlook when a row is added in Google Sheets." By integrating Google Sheets and Outlook, you can save the trouble of entering schedules and manage them efficiently. Be sure to use other templates to further improve your work efficiency.
