You can start right away using the template below, so please give it a try!

When communicating with overseas teams or clients using communication tools, are you using a translator?
If you translate every time a message comes in, it can become a bit of a hassle if there are many exchanges.

In such cases, integrating translation tools with Slack and Microsoft Teams is extremely convenient!
First, let me introduce two specific benefits.
Additionally, we provide a detailed explanation with images on how to integrate Slack and Microsoft Teams, so please take a look.

Benefits of Integrating Slack and Microsoft Teams

1. Automatically translate messages received in other languages on Slack and send them to Microsoft Teams!

Messages sent to Slack in other languages are automatically translated and then sent to Microsoft Teams!
This will save you the trouble of translating every time a message comes in, and you can shorten your workflow.

Moreover, the need to frequently switch between the three tools—Slack, translation tools, and Microsoft Teams—will be reduced.
Eliminating the hassle of launching and using multiple apps simultaneously can also help reduce the burden of work.

2. Maintain a consistent level of translation!

When someone who understands other languages translates on their own, and each team member uses different translation tools, discrepancies in the translated content are likely to occur.
This can lead to slight differences in the content of the messages each person perceives.
However, by consistently using the same translation tool automatically, the translated content can be maintained at a consistent level. As a result, the content of the messages seen by team members will be the same for everyone, reducing the likelihood of misunderstandings.

How to Create a Slack and Microsoft Teams Integration Flow

Now, let's introduce the steps to create a "Flow Bot" that translates messages posted on Slack and posts the translated version on Microsoft Teams."

The steps for this Flow Bot are all in three stages!

By using a template with minimal settings, you can create a Flow Bot in no time.

First, click on " View Details" on the template banner below, and proceed with the registration for Yoom from the " Try this template" button at the bottom of the migrated screen! If you have already completed the registration, the login screen will be displayed, so please log in!

My App Integration

Once you have completed the registration for Yoom and copied the template, a screen like the one above will appear, and you will transition to a page called "My Project".
Once this is done, let's move on to integrating Slack and Microsoft Teams with Yoom.
This is called "My App Integration"!
     ↓
First, let's integrate Slack with Yoom. Select My Apps from the menu on the screen side and click Create New in the upper right corner!
Enter "Slack" in the search window, and when the Slack icon appears, click it.

A screen like the one above will appear, so select the desired channel and press "Allow" to integrate Slack with Yoom.
     ↓
Let's proceed to My App Integration for Microsoft Teams.
We recommend logging into Microsoft 365 in advance, as integration will be completed quickly if you are already logged in.

Adding ":" and such to make it more readable is a tip. Please try to imitate it!
     ↓

If the notification has arrived, don't forget to save. This completes the integration of Slack and Microsoft Teams!

Other Examples of Automation Using Slack and Translators

There are many other examples of automation using Slack and translators at Yoom, so here are a few introductions.

1. Translate messages posted on Slack and post the translated version on LINE
If you want to easily check translated messages on your smartphone, integrating with LINE is also recommended!

2. Translate messages posted on Slack and post the translated version on Discord
It also supports Discord! Even with the free plan, you can check the entire message history, making it effective if you want to keep logs.

3.  Translate messages posted on Slack and post the translated version on Slack
Since the translated messages are also received entirely on Slack, there is no need to switch between multiple apps!

Summary

By integrating Slack and Microsoft Teams with a translation tool as introduced this time, you can expect to reduce the workload as it eliminates the need to translate messages every time they are received!
Additionally, when individuals translate other languages, there tends to be variations depending on the person or machine doing the translation, which can lead to differences in the nuances of the message content. However, such issues can also be improved.
Automating the workflow also leads to time savings, so please try this app integration!

After working as a general store manager, I started working from home as an SEO writer. Later, an outsourcing agreement was signed with a marketing startup for about 5 years. Surrounded by students at the University of Tokyo, I held a computer and spent my days studying various business terms and how to use SaaS tools. When I was a general store manager, time was taken over and over again by office work such as sales and inventory management, human resource management, and ordering, etc., and I was unable to serve customers and often missed sales times. Even when outsourcing, there are many detailed tasks such as input, etc., and “can't such monotonous tasks be automated?” I thought so, and I really sympathize with Yoom's vision!
