When exchanging messages on Slack, there are times when you discuss the date, time, and details of a Zoom meeting, right?
Wouldn't it be convenient if you could create a Zoom meeting based on the content of the messages exchanged here?
Moreover, how about not only creating a Zoom meeting but also automating tasks like sending emails to participants automatically and sending the recorded data to Slack once the Zoom meeting is completed?
The key to achieving such automation is the data integration between Slack and Zoom!
<span class="mark-yellow">By utilizing API integration, it becomes possible to automatically link Slack data to Zoom!</span>
Hearing about API integration might sound difficult, but with Yoom, which allows app integration without programming, there's no need for specialized knowledge.
We provide an easy-to-understand guide with images on how anyone can easily integrate apps, so take this opportunity to experience automation!
By using Yoom, you can easily integrate Slack and Zoom with no code. Yoom offers pre-prepared templates for integrating Slack and Zoom, so even without API knowledge, you can achieve integration immediately just by signing up.
By integrating the APIs of Slack and Zoom, you can automatically link Slack data to Zoom! For example, you can automatically perform data integration like the following without human intervention each time.
This is recommended if you use Slack for internal or departmental communication and want to create Zoom meetings using the post content as is. It saves the hassle of switching back and forth between Slack and Zoom for meeting creation.
This flow is recommended for those hosting webinars using Zoom and looking to streamline the participant registration process.
Not only can you create a Zoom meeting, but you can also share its details with participants via email, saving you the hassle of sending emails!
Now, let's create a flow that integrates Slack and Zoom!
This time, we will use Yoom to proceed with the integration of Slack and Zoom without any coding. If you do not have a Yoom account yet, please issue an account from this registration form.
[What is Yoom]
This time, we will create a flow bot that creates a Zoom meeting based on the content posted on Slack!
The creation process is broadly divided into the following steps.
After logging into Yoom, click on "My Apps" on the left side of the screen, then click "+Add".
Search for Slack using the search box at the top right.
Enter your workspace's Slack URL and click "Continue".
Next, enter your email address and click "Sign in with Email".
Enter the verification code sent to your email address.
Select the Yoom posting destination and click "Allow" to complete the Slack My Apps integration.
For more details, please check About Slack My Apps Integration.
Similarly, search for Zoom.
Refer to "How to Register Zoom (OAuth) My Apps" to enter the Client ID and Client secret, and click Add to complete the Zoom My Apps integration.
Log into Yoom and click "Try it" on the banner below.
Click "OK" when "The template has been copied" is displayed.
Click "When a new message is posted to a channel".
The title can be edited. Set the trigger action to "When a new message is posted to a channel", ensure the account name is correct, and click "Next".
The screen for API connection settings for the app trigger will be displayed, so enter the necessary information.
First, select the trigger interval.
* You can select the trigger interval from 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or 60 minutes.
Please note that the shortest trigger interval varies depending on the plan. →About Yoom's Plans
Next, select the channel ID from the candidates.
Next, send a message containing "Company Name, Scheduled Date, Start Time, Meeting Duration" to the specified room and click the test button.
If successful, save it.
The retrieved value can be utilized in the next step.
Click "Extract data from text".
Select the conversion type and click "Next".
Enter the target text.
This time, we will use the retrieved values in Step 3 and use Slack messages.
Enter the items you want to extract and test.
By entering the items you want to extract in the section below, you can extract the corresponding parts from Slack messages and automatically create a Zoom meeting according to the content.
Please note that if there are no extraction items, a Zoom meeting may not be created.
If successful, save it. The retrieved values can also be utilized in the next step.
Click "Create Meeting".
The action is "Create Meeting". Click "Next".
The screen for API connection settings will be displayed, so enter the necessary information.
First, enter the email address of the Zoom account to create the meeting.
Next, enter the topic. You can also use the retrieved value to enter it.
You can optionally set a password.
Furthermore, you can set meeting description.
Finally, enter the date, start time, and meeting duration using the retrieved values, and click test.
If successful, save it.
Finally, click "Turn on Trigger" to complete the automation setup.
Make sure the flow bot is activated correctly.
