Use OCR to extract text from files stored in Box and add it to Bubble

With this workflow, whenever a file is added to Box, the OCR feature automatically reads its contents and adds the data to Bubble, helping you resolve these issues and streamline data entry tasks.

■Flowbot steps

1. First, connect Box and Bubble to Yoom.
2. Next, select Box as the trigger and set the action to “When a file is uploaded to a folder.”
3. Then, set the Box “Download a file” action as an operation and specify the file detected by the trigger.
4. Next, set the OCR “Extract text from an image or PDF” action as an operation to read the downloaded file.
5. Finally, set Bubble’s “Create a Thing” action as an operation to create data based on the information extracted by OCR.

※“Trigger”: An action that starts the flow. “Operation”: An action that processes data within the flow after the trigger starts.

■Customization options

• For the Box trigger, set the content ID of the folder you want to monitor.
• For the OCR action, you can customize the file attachment method, fields to extract, AI model, language, and more based on the document format.
• For the Bubble data creation action, set the target data type name, environment, and which OCR-extracted values should be registered in which fields.

■Notes

• Connect both Box and Bubble to Yoom.
• The OCR AI operation is available only on the Team and Success plans. Please note that the configured Flowbot operation will result in an error on the Free and Mini plans.
• Paid plans such as the Team and Success plans include a two-week free trial. During the free trial, you can use apps and features (operations) that are subject to plan restrictions.
• Files up to 300 MB can be downloaded. Depending on the app specifications, the limit may be less than 300 MB.
