■Overview
AVIF files are commonly used on websites, but converting them to JPG format for use in other applications can be time-consuming. Manually converting AVIF files to JPG not only takes time but can also take you away from your core work. With this workflow, AVIF files uploaded to Box are automatically converted to JPG and stored in a specified folder, streamlining the entire file conversion process and reducing manual effort.
■Recommended for
- Anyone who manually converts AVIF files to JPG for websites or document creation
- Anyone who uses Box to manage image files and wants to automate the process from conversion to storage
- Anyone who wants to prevent human errors such as incorrect file name changes or missed conversions
■Benefits of this template
- Simply store a file in Box to automatically complete the AVIF-to-JPG conversion that previously required manual work, helping you save time.
- By eliminating manual work, you can prevent human errors such as incorrect file name changes and missed conversions, improving operational quality.
■Flowbot steps
- First, connect Box to Yoom.
- Next, select Box as the trigger, set the “When a file is uploaded to a folder” action, and specify the folder to monitor.
- Next, use the branching feature to proceed with the subsequent steps only when the uploaded file is in AVIF format.
- Next, set the “Download a file” action for Box in an operation.
- Next, use the RPA feature to set the “Control a browser” action, then convert the file to JPG format using an online conversion tool of your choice.
- Next, use the data transformation feature to set the “Replace data using regular expressions” action and change the file extension from AVIF to JPG.
- Finally, set the “Upload a file” action for Box in an operation and store the converted and renamed file in the specified folder.
※“Trigger”: An action that starts a flow. “Operation”: An action that performs processing within a flow after the trigger starts.
■Customization options
- In the Box trigger settings, specify the folder to monitor for uploaded AVIF files.
- With the branching feature, you can freely customize the conditions for branching subsequent steps based on the file name or other criteria. For example, you can configure the flow to run only when the file extension is “.avif”.
- With the RPA feature, configure the URL of the website used for file conversion and actions such as uploading and downloading files to match your environment.
- In the “Replace data using regular expressions” operation, you can specify the strings to replace, such as the extension used in the converted file name.
- In the Box file upload settings, specify the folder where converted JPG files will be stored and the file name.
