Post to X (Twitter) when a pull request with a specific label is created on GitHub

Post to X (Twitter) when a pull request with a specific label is created on GitHub

Launch this workflow to connect GitHub & Twitter !
‍■Overview
Do you manually post updates to X (Twitter) every time you want to share GitHub development progress—especially important pull requests—with your team or followers? While this task is simple, it can be surprisingly time-consuming because it needs to happen in real time. With this workflow, whenever a pull request with a specific label is created in GitHub, its details can be automatically posted to X (Twitter). Automate the integration between GitHub and X (Twitter) to streamline information sharing.

■Who this template is recommended for
  • Developers and product managers who want to quickly share GitHub development updates on X (Twitter)
  • Anyone who finds manual information sharing between GitHub and X (Twitter) time-consuming and wants to automate it
  • Open source contributors and community managers who want to share their activities with a wider audience

■Benefits of using this template
  • Posts are automatically published to X (Twitter) after a pull request is created in GitHub, reducing the time spent sharing updates manually so you can focus on development
  • Prevent human errors such as missed or delayed posts of important updates and keep stakeholders informed in a timely manner

■Flow bot steps
  1. First, connect GitHub and X (Twitter) to Yoom
  2. Next, select GitHub as the trigger and set the action to “When a pull request is created”
  3. Then, configure branching in Operations so that subsequent actions run only when the pull request has a specific label
  4. Finally, configure X (Twitter)’s “Post a post” action in Operations and include the pull request details in the post
※“Trigger”: An action that starts the flow. “Operation”: An action that processes information within the flow after the trigger starts.

■Customization options for this workflow
  • In the branching step, you can set any conditions, such as the type of label assigned to the pull request, to notify only specific pull requests
  • You can dynamically create X (Twitter) posts by embedding variables such as the pull request title and URL retrieved by the trigger, rather than using fixed text only

■Notes
  • Connect both GitHub and X (Twitter) to Yoom.
  • You can choose a trigger interval of 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 minutes. Please note that the shortest available interval varies by plan.
  • Branching is an Operation available on the Personal plan and above. On the Free plan, configured flow bot Operations that use branching will result in an error.
  • Paid plans such as the Personal plan include a two-week free trial. During the free trial, you can use apps and features (Operations) that are subject to plan restrictions. For details, see the pricing plans page.
