■Overview
ICO files are essential for creating icons for Windows applications and favicons for websites, but searching for an online tool and manually converting files each time can be time-consuming. With this workflow, simply upload an image file to a designated Box folder, and RPA will operate an online tool to automatically convert it into an ICO file. Eliminate the hassle of finding ways to convert ICO files and centralize file management to streamline website development and maintenance.
■Who Should Use This Template
- Web professionals who frequently convert files to ICO format, such as when creating website favicons
- Those who manage image files in Box and are looking for a more efficient way to convert them to ICO files
- Those who want to automate manual tasks like file conversion and focus on creative work
■Benefits of This Template
- Automatically generate an ICO file by simply uploading an image to Box, reducing the time and effort required for manual conversion.
- Prevent human errors that commonly occur during manual conversion, such as selecting the wrong file or saving it to the wrong location.
■Flow Bot Process
- First, connect Box with Yoom.
- Select Box as the trigger and set the action to “When a file is uploaded to a folder.”
- Next, set Box’s “Download a file” action as an operation to retrieve the file detected by the trigger.
- Then, set the RPA feature’s “Operate the browser” action as an operation to automate the process on an online file conversion tool.
- Use the Data Transformation feature’s “Replace data using regular expressions” action to prepare the information used for the saved file name.
- Finally, set Box’s “Upload a file” action as an operation to save the generated ICO file to the designated folder.
* “Trigger”: An action that starts the flow. “Operation”: An action that processes data within the flow after the trigger starts.
■Customization Options
- In the Box trigger settings, specify the folder where you want to detect file uploads using the folder ID of your choice.
- In the RPA settings, you can customize the URL of the online conversion tool you normally use, as well as the entire browser process from selecting a file through conversion and saving.
- When uploading the converted ICO file to Box, you can set the destination folder and file name of your choice.
■Notes
- Connect Box with Yoom.
- The “Operate the browser” operation is available only on the Success Plan. Please note that configured Flow Bot operations will result in an error on the Free, Mini, and Team Plans.
- Paid plans, such as the Success Plan, include a two-week free trial. During the free trial, you can use restricted apps and operations that operate the browser.
- For instructions on configuring the “Operate the browser” operation, see here.
- Customize the “Operate the browser” operation to suit the website you use.
