■Overview
Are you manually creating GitHub Issues from tasks and bug reports managed in Airtable? While this work is simple, it can be time-consuming and prone to copy-and-paste errors. With this workflow, simply add a record to Airtable to automatically create a GitHub Issue after approval. By connecting Airtable and GitHub, you can eliminate tedious manual work and keep projects moving smoothly.
■Who This Template Is For
- Development team members who manually register information managed in Airtable as GitHub Issues
- Project managers who want to eliminate input errors and missed updates when transferring information between Airtable and GitHub
- Anyone looking to automate routine development tasks and improve productivity across the team
■Benefits of Using This Template
- When a record is added to Airtable, a GitHub Issue is automatically created after approval, reducing the time spent on manual work.
- With no need to manually transfer information, you can prevent human errors such as incorrect entries and missed actions.
■Workflow Steps
- First, connect Airtable and GitHub to Yoom.
- Next, select Airtable as the trigger and configure the workflow to start when a record is added.
- Then, add the assignee request feature as an operation and configure the approver and request details using the “Request action from assignee” action.
- Finally, configure GitHub’s “Create an Issue” action as the post-approval operation so that an Issue is created based on the information retrieved from Airtable.
※“Trigger”: An action that starts the workflow. “Operation”: An action that processes data within the workflow after the trigger starts.
■Customization Options
- In the Airtable trigger settings, you can choose any table to monitor and freely retrieve the values of the fields you want to use when creating the Issue.
- With the assignee request feature, you can specify who should approve the request and flexibly customize the request message and input form to match your business needs.
- In the GitHub action for creating an Issue, you can select any target repository. You can also embed values retrieved from Airtable in the Issue title, description, labels, and more—not just fixed text.
■Notes
- Connect both Airtable and GitHub to Yoom.
- You can choose a trigger interval of 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 minutes.
- Please note that the shortest available trigger interval varies by plan.
- For details on how to retrieve Airtable record details, see this guide.
