■Overview
Do you find it time-consuming to manually transfer task information managed in Coda to GitHub, or encounter input errors along the way?
This workflow connects Coda and GitHub to automatically add an Issue to GitHub whenever a row matching specific conditions is created in a Coda table. By eliminating duplicate data entry in project management and preventing missed task creation, it helps keep development work moving smoothly.
■Who This Template Is For
- Development teams that manually create GitHub Issues from tasks managed in Coda
- Managers who want to connect GitHub and Coda to streamline project management
- Anyone looking to automate the task creation process and focus on their core work
■Benefits of Using This Template
- Automatically create a GitHub Issue by simply adding a row to a Coda table, reducing the time spent transferring information manually
- Reduce the risk of human error, such as missed Issue creation or mistakes when entering titles and descriptions
■Flowbot Steps
- First, connect Coda and GitHub to Yoom
- Select Coda as the trigger and set the action to “When a row is created in a table”
- Next, set up branching in the operation and specify conditions so that the workflow proceeds only when a specific Coda column contains a specific value
- Finally, set the GitHub “Create an Issue” action in the operation so that an Issue is created based on the information retrieved from Coda
※“Trigger”: The action that starts the flow, “Operation”: The action that processes information within the flow after the trigger starts
■Customization Options
- Set any conditions for the Coda rows that should trigger the Flowbot in the branching step. For example, you can specify a condition such as a particular status column being set to “To Do”
- Choose which Coda column information to include in the title and description of the Issue created in GitHub
■Notes
- Connect both Coda and GitHub to Yoom.
- You can select a trigger interval of 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 minutes.
- Please note that the shortest available trigger interval varies by plan.
- See this guide for how to retrieve information from Coda.
- Branching is an operation available on the Mini plan and above. On the Free plan, the configured Flowbot operation will result in an error.
- Paid plans, such as the Mini plan, include a two-week free trial. During the free trial, you can use apps and features (operations) that are otherwise subject to plan restrictions.
