Add rows to Notion when rows matching specific conditions are created in Coda

Add rows to Notion when rows matching specific conditions are created in Coda

Launch this workflow to connect Coda & Notion !

■Overview

Do you use Notion and Coda for information management and project management, but find it time-consuming to transfer data between the two tools? Manually copying and pasting only specific information from tasks managed in Coda to Notion can be time-consuming and may also lead to input errors. This workflow automatically adds information to a Notion database when a row that meets specific conditions is created in Coda, enabling seamless integration between Notion and Coda.

■Who is this template for?

  • Anyone who uses Coda and Notion together and manually transfers project or task information between them
  • Anyone who wants to eliminate duplicate data entry and missed updates when managing information with Notion and Coda
  • Anyone who wants to automatically consolidate only specific data from information managed in Coda into Notion

■Benefits of using this template

  • When a row that meets the specified conditions is created in Coda, the information is automatically added to Notion, reducing the time spent on manual data transfer
  • Reduce the risk of copy-and-paste errors and missed entries during manual data migration, improving data accuracy between Notion and Coda

■Flowbot steps

  1. First, connect Coda and Notion to Yoom
  2. Next, select Coda as the trigger, set the action to “When a row is created in a table,” and specify the target table
  3. Next, configure branching in the operation so that subsequent steps proceed only when specific conditions are met
  4. Finally, set Notion’s “Add a record” action in the operation and add the information retrieved by the trigger to the specified database

※“Trigger”: An action that starts the flow. “Operation”: An action that processes data within the flow after the trigger starts

■Customization options for this workflow

  • For the branching conditions, specify the values that information retrieved from Coda, such as status or assignee, must have for the data to be added to Notion
  • For the action that adds a record to Notion, specify which information retrieved from Coda should be added to which Notion property

■Notes‍

  • Connect both Coda and Notion to Yoom.
  • You can select a trigger interval of 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 minutes.
  • Note that the shortest available trigger interval varies by plan.
  • Branching is an operation available on the Mini plan and above. On the Free plan, the configured flowbot operation will result in an error.
  • Paid plans, such as the Mini plan, include a 2-week free trial. During the free trial, you can use apps and features (operations) that are otherwise subject to plan restrictions.
  • For details on how to retrieve information from Coda, see this page.
