■Overview
Are you tired of manually registering system alerts received in Discord as incidents in Statuspage? These repetitive tasks can lead to delayed responses and data entry errors. With this workflow, when a message is sent to a specific Discord channel, AI analyzes its content and automatically creates an incident in Statuspage, helping you eliminate these challenges. Connect with Statuspage via its API with no code and speed up the initial response to incident management.
■Who should use this template
- SREs and developers who want to connect Discord and Statuspage to streamline the incident reporting process
- Anyone who wants to automate incident management without prior development experience using the Statuspage API
- Operations teams looking to prevent mistakes such as missed incident registrations and reporting delays caused by manual processes
■Benefits of using this template
- Automatically create incidents in Statuspage when a message is posted to Discord, reducing the time spent on manual registration.
- Process information automatically without human intervention to prevent errors such as data entry mistakes and missed incident registrations, enabling accurate information sharing.
■How the workflow works
- First, connect Discord and Statuspage to Yoom.
- Next, select Discord as the trigger and set the action to “When a message is sent in a channel.”
- Then, set up a branch in the workflow and specify conditions so that only messages containing specific keywords proceed to the subsequent steps.
- Next, configure the AI feature to extract the required data, such as the incident name and details, from the Discord message.
- Finally, set up Statuspage’s “Create Incident” action and create an incident based on the information extracted by AI.
※“Trigger”: An action that starts the workflow. “Operation”: An action that runs a process in the workflow after the trigger starts.
■Customizing this workflow
- In the Discord trigger settings, specify the server ID and channel ID you want to monitor for notifications.
- With the branching feature, you can freely define conditions for triggering subsequent operations, such as processing only messages that contain specific keywords.
- When extracting text with the AI feature, you can specify and extract the information you want to register in Statuspage, such as the incident title and status, from the Discord message.
- When creating an incident in Statuspage, you can freely assign information retrieved in previous operations or fixed values to each field.
■Notes
- Connect both Discord and Statuspage to Yoom.
- You can choose a trigger interval of 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 minutes.
- Note that the shortest available trigger interval varies by plan.
- Branching is an available feature (operation) on the Mini plan and above. On the Free plan, configured workflow operations will result in errors.
- Paid plans, including the Mini plan, offer a two-week free trial. During the free trial, you can use apps and features (operations) that are restricted on your plan.
