Step 3: Notion App Trigger Settings
Select "When a page in a specific database is created or updated".
In the next screen, verify that your correct account is connected, then hit "Next".
Make sure to prepare a Notion database in advance for the upcoming test action. For this test, we’ve created a database like the one shown below.
Once your Notion database is ready, return to Yoom.
Trigger Interval
Set your trigger interval (frequency of sync) on how frequently Yoom checks Notion for updates.
It can be set to 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or 60 minutes.
We recommend setting the trigger to the shortest activation interval available for your plan.
⚠️ Note: The trigger interval varies depending on your Yoomplan. Be sure to check your current plan’s limit.
Database ID
Enter the Notion Database ID you created earlier.
This is where you want Yoom to check for updates.
Once you've completed the settings, run a test after creating a new page in Notion. If the test is successful, the retrieved value will get updated as below. If the retrieved value matches the information in Notion, then click "Save".
Step 4: Branch Condition
Select "Command Operation".
This time, we will set up a branch trigger for when a new page is created in Notion.
So click on the input field, and select “last updated date” from the options. You can also customize the branch conditions according to your needs.
Once all settings are done, click “Save”.
Step 5: Retrieve Record by ID
Select "Retrieve Record (ID Search)".
Select the Notion database from which you want to retrieve records. Click the input field and select the Database ID set in Step 3. Then, click “Next”.
Set the conditions to retrieve a single record that matches the specified criteria from the Notion database. For this example, we selected the Object ID, as shown below.
Only records that match the “Record Condition” in Notion with the retrieved “Object ID” will be fetched.
Once the setup is complete, run a test.
If the test is successful, the retrieved values will get updated. Finally, click "Save" and proceed to the next step.
Step 6: Generate Text with Claude
Select "Generate Text". The screen will transition, but since the settings such as the title will be the same as those set in Step 1, so you can just click "Next".
In this case, we selected “content” from Notion’s retrieved value, instructing to summarize within 500 characters.
📚 Reference: For more details on retrieved values and how to set them up, see the guide here.
Once the settings are complete, run a test. If the test is successful, the retrieved data will be displayed.
Although the test operation image below does not show the retrieved data, the content instructed in Claude will be reflected in the actual retrieved results.
Hit "Save".
Step 7: Update Record with Notion
Select "Update Record (ID Search)" .
Specify the Notion database for updating records. When you click the input field, as shown in the image below, a list of available options will appear. Select the Database ID set in Step 3. Once the setting is complete, click “Next”.
Now let's set up the detailed settings.
Set the conditions for updating the record.
In this case, the condition is record ID (serving as the unique key).
Specify what data to add to Notion.
When you click on the content field, you will see the available options.
In this case, we want to add the summarized content from Claude into Notion. So we will select "ResponseContent" to quote Claude output in Notion database.
Once the setup is complete, click "Test". If the test is successful, the summary generated by Claude will get added into Notion.
Once confirmed, don't forget to click "Save"!
Step 6: Activate the Flowbot
Toggle the "Trigger On" button to activate your flow! Check if the Flowbot you set up is working properly.
That’s it! Your Flowbot is complete!
