When CDP data is uploaded to Dropbox, use OCR and AI to analyze customer insights and add them to Google Sheets
■Overview
You may be managing customer data exported from your CDP in Dropbox, but analyzing and using that data afterward can be time-consuming. Image- and PDF-based data, in particular, often requires extensive manual transcription and review. This workflow uses OCR to read CDP data uploaded to Dropbox, then automatically analyzes customer insights with AI. The analysis results generated by combining CDP data with AI are stored in Google Sheets, helping you streamline your data utilization process.
■Who Should Use This Template
- Those who manage data exported from a CDP in Dropbox and struggle with manual analysis
- Marketers who want to connect their CDP with AI and automate customer insight extraction
- Those who want to manage data more efficiently in Google Sheets
■Benefits of Using This Template
- Automate everything from OCR and AI-powered analysis to data transcription when a file is added to Dropbox, reducing the time spent on manual tasks.
- Help prevent human errors such as data entry mistakes and missed analysis details that can occur when transcribing CDP data manually.
■Workflow Steps
- First, connect Dropbox and Google Sheets to Yoom.
- Next, select Dropbox as the trigger and set the action to “When a file is created or updated in a specific folder.”
- Then, set Dropbox’s “Download a file” action as an operation to retrieve the file detected by the trigger in Yoom.
- Next, set the OCR feature’s “Read any image or PDF” action as an operation to extract text data from the downloaded file.
- Then, set the AI feature’s “Generate text” action as an operation to analyze customer insights based on the extracted text data.
- Finally, set Google Sheets’ “Add a record” action as an operation to add the AI-generated analysis results to the specified sheet.
※ “Trigger”: An action that starts the workflow. “Operation”: An action that processes data within the workflow after the trigger runs.
■Customization Options
- For the Dropbox trigger, set the path of the folder to monitor and the file name as needed.
- For the operation that adds data to Google Sheets, set the destination spreadsheet ID and tab name as needed.
- For the OCR feature, specify the fields you want to extract from image or PDF files.
- For the AI operation, edit the prompt as needed based on the insights you want the AI to analyze and generate.
■Notes
Connect both Google Sheets and Dropbox to Yoom.
・You can choose a trigger interval of 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 minutes.
・Please note that the shortest available trigger interval varies by plan.
・AI operations for OCR or audio transcription are available only on the Team and Success plans. On the Free and Mini plans, configured workflow operations will result in an error.
・Paid plans, including the Team and Success plans, offer a two-week free trial. During the free trial, you can use apps and AI features (operations) that are otherwise subject to plan restrictions.
