Add tasks to Notion when they are created in ClickUp and match specific conditions

Launch this workflow to connect ClickUp & Notion !

■Overview

Do you use ClickUp for project management and Notion for centralizing information, but find it time-consuming to transfer information between the two tools? Manually entering tasks created in ClickUp into a Notion database not only takes time but can also lead to input errors and omissions. This workflow connects ClickUp and Notion to automatically add information to Notion whenever a task matching specific conditions is created. Eliminate manual work and manage information more efficiently and accurately.

■Who should use this template

  • Anyone who manually transfers task information created in ClickUp to Notion
  • Anyone who wants to streamline task and project management across Notion and ClickUp
  • Anyone who wants to eliminate duplicate data entry and missed updates across multiple tools

■Benefits of using this template

  • Automatically add information to Notion when a task is created in ClickUp, reducing the time previously spent transferring data manually
  • Automate manual data entry to prevent human errors such as transfer mistakes and missed task registrations

■Flow bot steps

  1. First, connect ClickUp and Notion to Yoom
  2. Next, select ClickUp as the trigger and set the action to “When a task is created”
  3. Then, configure ClickUp’s “Get task” action in the operation to retrieve the details of the task detected by the trigger
  4. In a subsequent operation, configure the “Branching” feature so that the flow proceeds only when specific conditions are met
  5. Finally, configure Notion’s “Add a record” action in the operation after branching to add the retrieved task information to the specified database

※ “Trigger”: An action that starts the flow. “Operation”: An action that performs a process within the flow after the trigger starts.

■Customization options

  • Configure the branching conditions to specify which tasks should be added to Notion when created. (For example, tasks in a specific list or with a specific status)
  • In the action for adding a record to Notion, specify which information retrieved from ClickUp, such as the task name or due date, should be added to which fields in the Notion database

■Important notes

  • Connect both ClickUp and Notion to Yoom.
  • Branching is an operation available on the Mini Plan and higher. On the Free Plan, the configured flow bot operation will result in an error.
  • Paid plans, including the Mini Plan, come with a 2-week free trial. During the free trial, you can use apps and features (operations) that are otherwise subject to plan restrictions.
