■Overview
Do you find it time-consuming to manually review image files uploaded to Box before posting them to X (Twitter)?
This workflow automatically uses OCR to extract text from files uploaded to a specific Box folder and posts the extracted content to X (Twitter). By connecting Box and X (Twitter), you can automate the information-sharing process that was previously handled manually and improve operational efficiency.
■Recommended for
- Marketing professionals who regularly share information on X (Twitter) based on images and materials managed in Box
- Anyone looking to automate manual information sharing between Box and X (Twitter) and improve operational efficiency
- Anyone looking to build a system that uses OCR to automatically post text from images to social media
■Benefits of using this template
- Posts to X (Twitter) are completed automatically when a file is uploaded to Box, reducing the time spent manually copying and posting content.
- Eliminating manual text entry helps prevent human errors such as transcription mistakes and incorrect post content, enabling accurate information sharing.
■Flow bot steps
- First, connect Box and X (Twitter) to Yoom.
- Next, select Box as the trigger and set the action to “When a file is uploaded to a folder.”
- Next, configure the branching feature in an operation so that subsequent processes run only when specific conditions, such as the file name, are met.
- Next, set Box’s “Download file” action in an operation to download the file detected by the trigger.
- Next, use the OCR feature in an operation to extract text from the downloaded file.
- Finally, set X (Twitter)’s “Post a post” action in an operation and include the text extracted by OCR in the post content.
※“Trigger”: An action that starts the flow. “Operation”: An action that processes data within the flow after the trigger starts.
■Customization options
- In the Box trigger settings, set the folder you want to monitor using the relevant folder ID.
- With the branching feature, you can freely set the conditions for running subsequent processes based on information obtained by the trigger, such as the file name and type.
- With the OCR feature, you can choose whether to extract text from the entire file or only from a specific area.
- You can freely customize the content posted to X (Twitter) by adding fixed text such as hashtags, in addition to the text extracted by OCR.
