■Overview
ClickUp makes task management easy, but do you find it time-consuming to manually transfer task progress and completion updates to Confluence for documentation?
Entering the same information twice is not only inefficient—it can also lead to missed updates and errors.
With this workflow, you can seamlessly connect ClickUp and Confluence. When a task's status is updated, a Confluence page is created automatically, making information sharing more efficient.
■Who should use this template
- Anyone who manually transfers ClickUp task progress to Confluence and finds it time-consuming
- Team leaders who want to eliminate errors and omissions when sharing information between ClickUp and Confluence
- Anyone who wants to streamline project documentation and improve information sharing
■Benefits of using this template
- When a ClickUp task is updated to a specific status, a Confluence page is created automatically, reducing the time spent on manual data entry
- By eliminating the need to manually transfer information, you can prevent human errors such as typos and missed updates
■Workflow steps
- First, connect ClickUp and Confluence to Yoom
- Next, select ClickUp as the trigger and set the action to “When a task is updated”
- Then, set up ClickUp's “Get a task” action as an operation to retrieve the details of the updated task
- Next, configure the branching feature as an operation so that the workflow proceeds only when the task is updated to a specific status
- Finally, set up Confluence's “Create a page” action as an operation to create a page based on the retrieved task information
※ “Trigger”: An action that starts the workflow. “Operation”: An action that processes information within the workflow after the trigger runs.
■Customization options
- With the branching feature, you can define custom execution conditions, such as creating a Confluence page only when a task reaches a specific status
- With Confluence's page creation action, you can set fixed text for the page title and body, or insert dynamic values—such as the task name retrieved from ClickUp in the previous step—as variables
■Notes
- Connect both ClickUp and Confluence to Yoom.
- Branching is an operation available on the Mini plan and above. On the Free plan, configured workflow operations that use branching will result in an error.
- Paid plans, including the Mini plan, come with a 2-week free trial. During the free trial, you can use apps and features (operations) that are otherwise subject to plan restrictions.
